Bringing the Good in the World to You… #BeGoodDoGood www.Biz4GoodShow.com Cassie is a 5 year old who has a passion for painting. She loves working with acrylic and glitter. She has been a professional artist since the age of 3 and has featured on national television as well as international websites. Original paintings are now sold through our Etsy store: https://www.etsy.com/au/shop/CassieSwirls   Interview with CassieSwirls & Linda Gee:   Biz4GoodShow is International.  Live from Sidney, Australia.   Cassie looks like she wants to be going back to sleep.  It’s 6am in Australia.   We have CassieSwirls art in the studio.  You can see it in the picture to the left.   Everyone’s Excited.  We can see Cassie’s art in the video.   Cassie gives a thumbs up….they love pizza. (pizza icon pops up on their end)   Bobby insists on having cold pizza.  Linda agrees, and thinks her husband would…especially, for breakfast.   What gave them the charity idea?  To give proceeds from Cassie’s art to charity.     Cassie is who came up with the idea to give donations for her art to charity.   Got the idea of helping people and using the profits she earned to donate to charities, so that disadvantaged people could take advantage of her talent, and art.   Linda tells the story of how the idea started out.   She said, “Can I send bottles of water to children who don’t have water?”   A friend in Cambodia builds water tanks for the schools there, so the children could have clean water.  This was their first donation.  They sent a picture with the children and the water tank.   Why did Cassie think that was a good idea?  Because they didn’t have enough water.   What does Biz4Good mean to you?   She wants to know who asked that question?  Ryan….the magic person over there.   Linda says, everyone needs to have this vision.  Especially, shareholders and those who tend to look at only the money. Making sure you do business for the right reasons. We need to keep that in perspective.  It’s not just about making money.   Bobby says, “if you focus on the good, the money comes”.   Making doing good a priority, and working with others who have the same ideas; keeping everything in perspectives.   Thousands of business podcasts, but hardly any talk about the good being done in the world.  But, we all know it’s everywhere.  When we do good it spreads to everybody!   The echo gets a little outa control here….sorry!  We are live INTERNATIONAL.   Bobby tells how they found CassieSwirls doing good in the world.  Then, Bobby had to have a painting!   Thank You, Cassie!

If you are looking for problems you are going to find them. Here’s the Show!  The Big Show? Pause….   This has all been about what really works.  They talk about creating trust. Accountability Advances Credibility – Bobby loves it. Why is Trust Important? Kevin recommends creating trust with your customers on a very real level.  You have to make it a point to get to know your customers.  What constitutes building trust? Bobby’s ‘77 Camaro story.  Transmission out.  Seemed like a lot of money.  Dad said get a second opinion.  Bobby found out that the transmission was fine.  And later noticed the first place had gone out of business. Be persistent in product and service quality.  –Ryan So many promises out there that do not work.  You have to do what you say. 6 month money back guarantee.  However, you had to do this that and the other to get the guarantee. Is it worth the results?  Making hard claims like this…it seems they don’t trust their customers.  – Kevin Gimic to get your attention.  People get taken advantage of.  Need stipulations to keep clients from taking advantage of you. So many causes, people, and organizations screaming for attention.  What does it mean to be trustworthy?  How do we create trust?  Think about it.  Are you trustworthy?  Do you deliver?  Any kind of inaction denotes credibility issues.  Are you creating a culture of trust?  Emotion plays into business.  A common denominator in business is TRUST.  – Jay Accelerate the speed of trust.  Accelerate Business Growth. It all goes back to doing Good.  If you are doing good for the customer, they will trust you.   Doing good things connects everything.  If it’s noise, a lie, “bullcrap” (Bobby) – not good. Fundamental element people don’t talk about. Example:  Incredible content “click here”…if it’s not there, you erode the credibility. Accountability.  “It’s not my fault” How do you take it? If a customer pays me to deliver, whose fault is it if you don’t deliver.

Ep24 Activate Your Career & Life with Michael Dash! | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 49:17

This Thursday, July 13th at 2pm the Biz4GoodShow will be live with Michael Dash of Parallel HR Solutions. Michael has many more Good Works to Share. www.Biz4GoodShow.com #Biz4GoodShow #BeGoodDoGood Live on YouTube & Facebook!!! About Michael: After spending his youth growing up in a small town in New Jersey, Michael attended the University of Maryland, just far enough away so his parents couldn’t randomly surprise him with an unannounced visit. Throughout that time, he always had a passion for business as his father was himself an entrepreneur. He shaped a lot of who Michael is today and had Michael working in his businesses as early as 10 years old. This allowed Michael to learn early on how important work ethic was, something Michael has always carried with him. Having been the first person in his high school class to have a job (on top of helping to his father when needed), Michael continued working in college going door to door selling home improvements in some of the toughest areas of Baltimore and Washington DC. The lessons learned going door to door helped Michael when he graduated college and transitioned to a job in New York City. He began his career in sports advertising and after four years transitioned to work with a childhood friend in the staffing business. In 2007, after “accidentally” identifying a significant business opportunity in Utah, Michael decided to follow the entrepreneurial bug he always had which led him to a six-month commitment in Utah. Knowing one person in the entire state Michael followed his intuition and moved to Utah. That one opportunity turned into opening the business he runs today, a thriving technology talent acquisition firm called Parallel HR Solutions where he is the CEO and President. After first moving, he didn’t think he would last six months but things fell into place and ten years later, the Utah community is now his home. Being involved in the community has allowed Michael to explore another passion of his – giving back to others while paying it forward. Back in 2007, upon the first two days of arriving in Utah, and without a car, he walked into a pizza shop and saw a flyer for the Leukemia Lymphoma Society’s Team in Training fundraising. He decided to go to a meeting. Having seen many in his inner circle affected by Leukemia and a variety of other Cancers, he decided to join Team in Training and for four consecutive years raised money for them while participating in the running of marathons. In honor of others, Michael ran in the SLC, NYC, Vancouver Canada, and Anchorage Alaska marathons. After taking several years of running off, Michael received a call late last year, letting him know he was nominated for the 2016 Man/Woman of the Year competition for the LLS, a 10 week fundraising competition in honor of two children ages 4 and 5 who were undergoing chemo and suffering from this deadly disease. After being met with intimidation and fear in taking on this responsibility, Michael was able to build an amazingly supportive team and able to raise $75,000 in 10 weeks, one of the most fulfilling experiences he has ever been a part. Besides Michael’s philanthropic interests, he is heavily involved in the entrepreneur community and is part of several national organizations such as Young Entrepreneurial Council (YEC) and The Founders Organization. These are supportive communities that bring entrepreneurs together to support each other in all areas of business,

What Biz4Good means to Jennifer:   Meeting Ryan & Bobby was amazing, sharing energy and open hearts.  Because of companies like this society works.  It takes a village. And, we need everyone!  Biz4Good makes the world a better place. Doing business isn’t just about making money.  It has much to do with accountability.  Higher level of satisfaction, when doing things for a reason.  Does this make you happy? When asked to come do this podcast, was excited about talking about what she has a passion about.  Work doesn’t feel like work.  There are still stressful times, and hard moments.  You thrive, or you don’t.  Everyone has their niche, what they love.  If everyone could say, “This is Mine”.   Why do you do what you do? “One Fine Day” movie.  Holding all these balls, if someone takes just one…I’ll drop them all.   If you want something done, go to someone who seems so busy.  It defines me. I love what I do, it helps me reinforce my model for life.  You can be as amazing and wonderful as you want to be.  Don’t let the world define you.  CONFIDENCE. CONFIDENCE. CONFIDENCE. If you could teach your models one thing, it is that Photoshop can fix anything. Do everything with power and confidence.  No one knows you are new, nervous, etc. Not egotism and arrogance.  Ego is a poor substitute for confidence. Everybody had to start somewhere.  Doesn’t matter how big you get. When you become rich and famous, remember you are there because you have stood on shoulders of giants.  Don’t ever stop being grateful.

Ep21 Recruiting for Good: Brett Evanson Founder and CTO of Smart Rhino Labs | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 38:11

Recruiting for Good: Brett Evanson is Founder and CTO of Smart Rhino Labs, a company focused on marketing services for recruiters. We operate job sites where we match job applicants with jobs. We operate in transportation, healthcare, customer service, and more industries to come. Smart Rhino Labs does marketing services for recruiters.  It’s fun stuff. Masters Degree from BYU and began doing freelance work, so has never had a real job. Where they got the name for Smart Rhino Labs: Four founding partners who are still working for the company, and liked having an animal as a part of the name.  Rhinos are powerful.  Someone thought maybe rhinos are dumb.  What if you had a smart rhino?  The lab idea just evolved from there. What Biz 4 Good means: When starting Smart Rhino Labs, we were trying to find a beginning point.  Most solutions are tech heavy, or technology solutions that enable communications.  But, how to make it easier to communicate? There is a Biz4Good way to make it better for the job applicants and the employers.  Choices they have made to not exploit the job applicants.  In doing so they provide a better value to the applicant. Companies they work with: 10 of the top 10 trucking companies.  Fed Ex and JB Hunt.  Also, Uber. How many people do they place? 12.8 million job applicants have gone through their site.  Treating them like a human being, giving them an experience, not just pushing them through the system. A team of 200+ recruiters who play matchmakers between applicants and companies. Businesses not focusing on the good, they tend to go out of business. When first getting started, there were people asking why they priced more expensive. They could explain why they don’t do things that dilute the attention of the consumer. Number of Pain Points: For the recruiter, as well as the applicant. Focused on what was really important.  A slippery slope might be to add how many.  A fine line between making it a good experience for the applicant. Lean has helped us be agile.  Notifications and text messages, and pre-recorded voice conversations.  Began with a test pilot.  Have a good environment for employees to work. Happy employees are what makes happy customers.  One partner was meticulous about the culture at the work environment. Not about just treating the clients good, but also is about treating the employees well.  Many of their employees work from home, one month they had to hire 150 employees.  They hired 48 employees in one day, and most of those are still with them. Changing how processes run, so they are more efficient for the job applicant, as well as the recruiter.  The statistics of the number of applicants getting talked to by recruiters is an area they are changing the way things are being done in the industry.  Good Job!
