Responses were split this week on both the catalyst for and the results of "Go Big or Go Home" play. The main thing we agreed on though was the enjoyment we had for the episode and the continued praise for the season as a whole. We're excited for the penultimate episode on Wednesday and the set up for the finale.
Bing goes the blindside! First you choose to give up your hard fought numbers advantage to draw even again. Next, you make a conscious choice to be the minority again. It's true. Not every big, bold move that makes good TV is a smart move. How did you rate this family visit and the excitement at Tribal Council?
This season continues to make history and this double episode did not miss a beat. The feedback this week says it all. This is very well the best double we have ever experienced. There's so much to unpack. You guys did a great job with your analysis and now we're all excited to see if Christian can survive the coming onslaught.
In the past, double episodes often functioned to help quickly move the season along and clear out some less significant players. That certainly was not the case this time though. These two episodes were jammed pack with great challenges and excellent, high caliber game-play that kept us guessing. If a season is going to be in contention for top ten, it really needs a brutal endurance challenge to test the castaways. We can check that box now too!
Would you believe we used to only get recap shows during the Thanksgiving holiday week? My how times have changed. The feedback is unanimous for this one. We were treated to one of the best episodes ever, with high level HII and Advantage play that has never occurred in the history of the game. Can it get better than this? We can't wait for the double episode next week to find out!
What is the definition of doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result? The majority alliance is really struggling with that concept this season. That was certainly a whole new flavor of blindside we were treated to this week. This season keeps surprising us. We can't wait for the double episode next week to see how this battle resolves itself.
The hits keep rolling in! Based on this week's feedback, if we get a couple more episodes like that one, this season is headed to a lot of folks all time, top ten lists. That doesn't mean everything is rainbows and sunshine though. There's some sadness sprinkled in when we lose a castaway from the game that everyone liked and was cheering for. But, keep those blindsides coming!
Holy smokes! Ok, who saw that coming? The editors have really stepped their game up this season and they obviously are having fun too. Those kind of blindsides are bitter sweet, but we still enjoyed it in spite of the outcome. Who do you think is in control of KaloKalo now?
The feedback is in and the merge episode was an unqualified hit with everyone. The second half of the season is stacking up to be super exciting. We are all anxious to see what the "Counter Goliath Insurgency Alliance" will be able to accomplish. We are excited to see how it plays out from here!
The hits keep rolling in as we were treated to a great merge episode. There was lots going on and we got some great insights into the new social dynamics. This one does not seem like it is going to be predictable either. We were excited to see old alliances renewed and totally new, cross tribal alliances form. To what lengths would you be prepared to go if you found out you were the target at the merge vote?
The feedback was split this week on the value of who was voted out, but we remain united on how good the season has been through the first six episodes. The cast is liked and the editing is on point. It's merge time baby, and our only lament is that the episode isn't a double!
Jacketgate continued to take it's toll on the Jabeni tribe this week. How would you balance the personal friendships and social aspects of the game with strategic choices you would have to make if you were on Survivor? Are you ready for the merge? Who stands to benefit the most?
The BroChachos alliance was a huge hit. No one was lamenting this week's blindside, even if it meant losing points in JSFL. All told, we're really enjoying this season. Looks like the merge is still at least two weeks out, so we're excited to see how the three tribe dynamics evolve in the next episode!
It's another week and we were treated to another "big move". Numbers schmumbers who cares about majority alliances anyway? What's the limit of your patience? Do you think you could spend 39 days with someone you did not like and seemed completely lacking people skills? Did the right person get voted out?
This week's episode really got us talking. There were three big themes in this week's feedback: thoughts on Bi's decision, the merit of Alec's big move, and Gabby's recurring rides on the emotional roller-coaster. We are a diverse group and today's show is a great example of how we can come together and share all our perspectives and insights. So far, this season is really delivering, and we can't wait for the next episode.
