Edge of Extinction Week 12 LF | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:23:41

One castaway, surviving against all odds. Some like it, others, not so much. The thing that stands out in the responses this week is that the editors have given us a story for one castaway. The rest are unclear, but in spite of all that, we are all excited to see how it ends!

Edge of Extinction Week 12 Recap | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:01:55

There's a train leaving this episode and headed to the Survivor finale, and the engineer just padded out their resume quite nicely. We love when a castaway throws their game into high gear to beat the odds. Every now and again we get that rare player that seems to draw energy from the sheer excitement and force of will to play the game at a level beyond all their competitors. While it's been far from a perfect game, it's been a thrill to watch as we head for the final destination.

It is an iconic Survivor moment, but the consensus here is clear. You don't win the family visit. It's just not worth it, especially if you have a decent social game. The stakes are simply too high. This next week appears to be packed with action with a Reward Challenge, a Return from Edge of Extinction Challenge, and an Immunity Challenge too. We can't wait!

Edge of Extinction Week 11 Recap | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 44:31

Many of us thought the season might have already peaked, but this episode surprised us in the best way possible. How far would you go to set someone up for a blindside? What did you think about how the extra vote was used? How would you handle it if you discovered that someone lied to you in the game with the intent of making you look bad?

Edge of Extinction Week 10 LF | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:23:47

While it is certainly smart gameplay by the remaining castaways to eliminate the bigger threats, responses this week indicate that it has also left some fans concerned that the season may have already peaked. Even so, we remain excited to see how the ones at greatest risk will respond and what impact the Family Visit will have on the game.

Edge of Extinction Week 10 Recap | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 57:40

Silver platters, knives in the back, and rolling balls rounded out this episode that in the end played out like a classic Survivor revenge story. It certainly was satisfying for us. How do you think Aurora will use her extra vote? Who's family member are you looking forward to seeing? Do you think Rick will fall for Ron's deceptive plan?

Edge of Extinction Week 9 LF | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:13:59

Losing two fan favorites in one episode hit hard for many of the super fans this week and significantly diminished the likelihood of what many thought was a forgone conclusion for who would win this season. The editors have done a good job of keeping us guessing. We are excited to see what happens next and looking forward to more high level strategic game-play in week 10.

Edge of Extinction Week 9 Recap | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 56:17

Good luck reading the tea leaves in the edit cup this season. They are clearly on to us being on to them. They are all about the zig zag and keeping us off balance. What do you think about these double elimination, one hour episodes?

Edge of Extinction Week 8 LF | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:23:11

Responses to the "Live Tribal" were a mixed bag this week. Given that all the events took place on one day in the game, it seemed to force a different edit and a less deterministic outcome. For some the chaos is exciting and for others unsettling and unsatisfying. The upcoming double boot on Wednesday has us anxious and excited to see how the next two game cycles unfold.

Edge of Extinction Week 8 Recap | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 49:04

Wow, that reset the bar for "live", decide on the fly Tribal Councils. You know it's special when Probst opts to sit back and watch it all unfold instead of peppering them with questions. One thing's for sure. It never helps your case to get angry at Tribal Council. When folks are looking for a reason to vote someone out, you don't want to make it easy for them. Do you think the majority alliance will hold together?

Edge of Extinction Week 7 LF | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:26:45

Folks have good cause to be worried about the future of many of the castaways after that last Tribal Council. The original Kama younglings hit the reset button for everyone left in the game. Most of the responses this week were positive and a majority of us enjoyed the surprise, blindside edit too. We are excited to see what chaos the next Tribal Council will bring us on Wednesday.

Edge of Extinction Week 7 Recap | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 54:53

Make way! Blindside train coming through. We're not sure where it's headed, but the game certainly took a dramatic turn tonight. It's great when we are surprised by the result at Tribal Council, but it also means they had to hold back a lot of information leading up to that point. How long do you think this new alliance of eight will hold together? What do you think is the source for the surprise at the next Tribal Council?

Edge of Extinction Week 6 LF | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:49:36

While the reaction to the battle to return was excitedly and happily received, the first vote out after the merge resulted in split responses. Given their social and strategic performance to date though, it might just be the best course forward for that castaway. We are looking forward to Wednesday to see if anyone can mount a response to the conniving Kama Six.

Edge of Extinction Week 6 Recap | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 57:18

We were thrilled with who returned from Edge of Extinction but that wasn't the only surprise this week. We were caught off guard by who quit, the start of the jury, as well as with how the votes went again. Who's in the best position to win now? Do you think a returnee has a chance? Who do you think they call medical for next time?

Edge of Extinction Week 5 LF | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:49:06

Woohoo! It's unanimous. We all loved the double episode and are in favor of making that the standard. The challenges were great and everyone was surprised to learn just how bad Wardog was physically and with camplife. Lots of us were saddened by Aubry's plight. Now though, we are stoked to see the merge and find out who returns from Edge of Extinction on Wednesday.
