Most of us were gobsmacked by the first half of Denise's play at Tribal Council this week but opinions were split on the second half. Many expressed sadness as the top tier "legends" keep getting shipped off to EoE. We are all anxious to see what comes next hope CBS will opt to release extra content to help us during this trying time.

What is worth more to you: having an Idol that guarantees you can't be voted out or having the funds to potentially buy another one because the one you have is expiring tonight? When is it a good time to play an idol for someone else? If you were on EoE, would you spend your Fire Tokens on food or advantages for the return challenge?

The primary theme of the feedback this week was "adaptability", how the "old schoolers", one in particular, are really struggling with the concept. With two tribes headed to Tribal Council for a double elimination this week, we are all anxious to see how it plays out especially on Dakal where four out of five could be safe from the vote.

It is always tempting to fall back to a known strategy that worked well in the past, but a game of this caliber demands that you be able to shed those legacy moves and be ready to adapt on the fly or you'll get your torch snuffed. What do you think of the new tribes? Do you feel like any of them are at a disadvantage?

The fans got there wish with Dakal going to Tribal this week, and there was much rejoicing. We were split on the extended EoE segment though. For some it was time well spent on an inspiring story and for others it was an unwelcome distraction from the core game and the active castaways they are eager to see more of. A tribe switch can be like hitting a reset button on the game. We are all anxious to see how it plays out come Wednesday.

It is not easy to blindside this level of player, but we have seen it two weeks in a row now. It is certainly interesting to see the difference in strategies that are being used this season. Who do you credit with this week's vote out success? What are you expecting with the upcoming shuffle? What did you think of this week's exercise at Edge of Extinction? There was much sadness shared this week as "Operation Meatshield" took a toll on another fan favorite. You only have value if you're a big scary threat. Otherwise, buh-bye, have fun on EoE. Lots of fans are ready to see Dakal square off at Tribal again. We are looking forward to our next installment on Wednesday to see if Sele can break their streak.

I think we finally know who's in control of the Sele tribe. It will be interesting to see the fallout and if they can maintain the advantage. All hail the Rob-father! Boston Rob is certainly the focus of much of the feedback this week. Many of us were stunned at the tribe compliance demonstrated by this group of winners. This season has fan participation up as we have yet another week with 30+ participating on the show. We can't wait for Wednesday night to see if he can pull it off again when the heat really turns up.

You can't trust anyone but you have to trust someone, so how do you build that kind of a relationship? It's a fundamental, core mechanic of Survivor, and it's fascinating to see how these winners handle it and observe who is able to adapt when things don't go their way. Edge of Extinction is filling up. Who do you think stands the best chance to return

It's time to get the Survivor Super Fan's assessment of the first episode of season 40. We all loved that the first episode was two hours. We needed all that time for this great group of winners. We can't wait for Wednesday night when we get the next installment of our favorite show!

All the season premiers should be two hours long. This is the best way to kick it off without a doubt. We enjoyed the celebration and toast at the beginning, all the action in the challenges, and marveled at the scrambling and strategies and lack thereof during the pre-tribal negotiations. This is, by definition, a season full of returnees, so we have a rich history to refer to when theorizing how we think they do in the first all winners season. We have shared our early thoughts on each of the castaways including how well we think they will do in the overall game to kick off another season of watching Survivor together.
