Do you do retail arbitrage and online arbitrage to sell on Amazon? | Ep. #21 - Q&A Selling Online - From Amazon FBA to Shopify, Digital Marketing and Facebook Ads | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 8:24

Do you do retail arbitrage and online arbitrage? Frank wants to know if Quin also does RA (retail arbitrage) and OA (online arbitrage). Quin explains that Retail arbitrage is when you walk into a store and you physically find a good deal with the price highly lowered, and buy in bulk to sell online. In the other end, Online arbitrage is when you find a great deal online and buy the products to resell online. Besides these 2, there is also WS (wholesale), when you buy from the manufacturer and receive a wholesale price (Quin only deals above 50%, for products below $40). When you deal with wholesale, you can sell online, or at your physical location brick and mortar  ( if you have a business license). Wholesale is pretty easy since the product technically doesn’t end, and someone else is responsible for meeting the standards of the category it sells in (like FDA or Health Canada). Another positive about wholesale is that the manufacturer or brand owner is the one putting the effort and cash out for marketing and brand awareness.   The last of the jargon is PL (private label) that everyone already knows, Quin is very much interested in and deep into it.   Quin at the moment is 100% private label in the USA and Europe and in Canada about 80% PL and 20% wholesale. I hope this answers the question: Do you do retail arbitrage and online arbitrage?   Thanks QA

Broad match vs exact match vs phrase match amazon PPC | Ep. #20 - Q&A Selling Online - From Amazon FBA to Shopify, Digital Marketing and Facebook Ads | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 5:18

What is the difference between broad match, phrase match and exact? We have a ton of questions coming in related to PPC (pay per click) and AMS (Amazon Sponsored products) Today Quin will reply to a question about the differences in the match time when it comes to keywords. Broad match = Contains all the words, may be in any order and may include other words. Ads may show on searches that include misspellings, synonyms, related searches, and other relevant variations Phrase match = Contains all the words, in order, and may include other words before or after the phrase Ads may show on searches that match a phrase or are close variations of that phrase, with additional words before or after. Ads won’t show, however, if a word is added to the middle of the phrase, or if words in the phrase are reordered in any way   Exact match = Contains only these words in this order or close variations, may also include  plurals   Quin prefers manual campaigns with  keywords highly related to the product and with long-tail keywords (keywords with more than 3 words) This is the difference between broad match keywords, phrase match keywords and exact match keywords   Thanks QA

Should I private label and sell seasonal items on Amazon | Ep.#19 - Q&A Selling Online - From Amazon FBA to Shopify, Digital Marketing and Facebook Ads | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 16:17

Should I private label and sell seasonal items on Amazon? Seasonal items on Amazon. Aaron asked,”what do you think about private labeling seasonal products?” Seasonal items are the ones that do not sell year round. Something like snow skis, snow shovels, beach towels, Christmas trees, etc Seasonal products can be very profitable if the inventory is managed to perfection, your competitors have been studied in the past seasons, or if you have an option to keep the products that didn’t sell this season, until the next season. Quin has one of his private label products has a seasonal item ( a winter item) and had some issues getting stock in time when he first ran out of inventory. Having a place to store extra inventory, and having deep pockets is a must for those who want to private label and sell seasonal items or trend items. Here are a couple tools you can use for free to track the sales history of any product available at some point on Amazon: Keepa at Keepa.com or Camel camel camel at camelcamelcamel.com   After the season come the special deals: Some great deals can be found for people who do retail arbitrage (finding good deals at the stores and buying in bulk to sell online) Or even OA Online arbitrage (online arbitrage is the same process of buying great deals, but instead of doing it at the store, you buy them online to sell online) But they need to hold on to those items for 6 to 8 month most times.   So if you want to sell seasonal products on Amazon or any other location, make sure you have the financial backup or great inventory skills.   Thanks QA

Amazon FBA, - How can I launch a product? | Ep.#18 - Q&A Selling Online - From Amazon FBA to Shopify, Digital Marketing and Facebook Ads | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 33:39

How do I launch a product on Amazon? Pedro wants to know how to launch a product on Amazon since he launched is private label product and didn’t get any sales. Launching a product on Amazon, or Shopify or any other online platform is very important for the future of the product. The most important thing is to have an email list that you keep in contact on an ongoing basis, and then use this list every time you launch a new product. This list is like having free advertising to a warm audience, so if you don’t have an email list yet, start creating yours. To create an email list you can listen to episode number 3 Quin mentions several services that are available to launch a product and get some review. Some of these services are paid, and some are free, like Facebook Groups Quin talked about: Jump Send Snag Shout These services provide automatic distribution of your product on their deal sites. They have a safety feature to make sure a user only buys 1 item at a time, to prevent someone from buying all your products at 90% off and then selling on Amazon against you. The free option (and very good one) is going to Facebook “review” groups. Make sure not to ask for a review in exchange for the product. Just create a post using the product picture instead of the Amazon listing, and mention the discount percentage. Then reply in private to everyone who is interested with a discount code and a super URL for the keywords you want. Quin launched 3 new products this week, and used Jump send and Facebook. Quin goes to Facebook with an account he created 2 years ago, to avoid people recognizing him and copying the product. He also used the Amazon Giveaway option where they allow him to use a website URL and even has an option to make people follow him on Twitter or even get some video views. I hope this helps, and if you have any questions, please go to QASellingOnline.com or email at Quin@quinamorim.com That is how you launch a product on Amazon Thanks

My keywords don's show up on Amazon searches | Ep. #17 - Q&A Selling Online - From Amazon FBA to Shopify, Digital Marketing and Facebook Ads | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 18:35

How can I get my keywords indexed by Amazon? Donna created a listing on Amazon, and now when she looks up her keywords on the search bar, she can’t find her product. Quin thinks it may be for a few different reasons. The main reason could be that Donna did her search on Amazon wrong. It only takes 10 to 15 minutes to index keywords on Amazon, so she probably just missed her product on the search, or didn’t go deep enough on the search results. One easy way to see if your keyword is indexed is to enter your ASIN number followed by any search term you want to index for. When you press enter, if Amazon shows you your own product, this means you are indexed for that keyword. The is a cool FREE software you can use to see if you are indexed, and you can enter up to 8 characters at once, with 1 keyword per line. The tool is Sonar Index Checker and you can find it HERE: Another tool Quin uses to track his keywords performance and rank is Sellics, this is a paid tool that can track what page your rank for each keyword and monitor your keyword growth. Sellics can monitor PPC, monitor Keyword ranks, Spy on Competitors, track profits and much more. You can find it HERE Get your keywords indexed on Amazon Search engine, using the techniques Quin mentions in the show. Make sure to use your important keywords at least 3 times in the bullet points and once in the title. Also, try to fill the description with 200 characters and use your keywords in there at least 7 times.   Thanks Q

How do you create your click funnels, sales funnel? | Ep. #16 - Q&A Selling Online - From Amazon FBA to Shopify, Digital Marketing and Facebook Ads | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 11:13

What do your sales funnel look like? My sales funnel is a fee plus shipping option, I created using Click Funnels. I use a product I created with 2 variations to give away for free, and the shipping cost will actually cover the Amazon FBA fees and product cost. The main reason for this free plus shipping funnel is to create sales velocity on my main product that will have an upsell page in this funnel. After they agree to the free option and enter the information plus credit card, now I offer my main [product at a 75% discount (inflated price) with a scarcity factor and an urgency timer running out. When the client clicks on add to cart it will be automatically paid for an order is complete. Now they get to the thank you page and an option to verify the email so it is not in the spam folder. Tha is how I create my sales funnel using Click Funnels

How can I get some bad feedback removed from Amazon | Ep. #15 - Q&A Selling Online - From Amazon FBA to Shopify, Digital Marketing and Facebook Ads | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 5:27

How can I remove bad feedback on Amazon? Heather had a question: This may seem ridiculous, but I have a bad feedback and don’t know how to remove it. Quin answers and breaks down the difference between a product review and seller feedback. Product reviews cannot be removed, but seller feedback that is left instead of a product review can be deleted in seconds. Here are the steps: Go to Amazon Seller Central, now go to the Performance tab. In here you will see the customer feedback tab, click on it and now all your received feedback is visible here. I hope you are looking at a nice history of 5-star feedback! Copy the order ID of the purchase that has the bad feedback, look at the top right of the page and click on HELP. Now a small page opens on the right side of your screen, and at the bottom of that page you will see a button saying “Contact US” (with the A from the Amazon Logo) When you click on the Contact Us button you will see a few options on your left screen to choose from. Chose the option that has customer feedback, and when you select it, they will ask you for the order ID. Paste it, into the search bar given, submit and you will be shown a few reasons why you would like to remove that feedback. Pick the option that says “Product review” hit submit and it should be gone in a matter of seconds ( sometimes a couple hours)   That is how to remove bad feedback on Amazon   Thanks Quin

What can I do with my Amazon returns? | Ep. #14 - Q&A Selling Online - From Amazon FBA to Shopify, Digital Marketing and Facebook Ads | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 6:00

What do I do with my broken products I sell on Amazon? Question from Justin: What do I do with my broken products I sell on Amazon? This question can have a couple answers, depending on what the question really means. If you mean you received a full broken batch of product from China, to sell on Amazon, and now you can’t sell it, maybe you should contact the manufacturer and try to figure out a friendly solution with them. If you mean the daily or weekly returns you get from selling on Amazon, and the product now is deemed unfulfillable… those you can ask Amazon to ship to you (if you are in the same country as the product) and Amazon will ship the broken product to you for 50 cents each plus tax. If you are not in the same country has your product on the Amazon marketplace, you can choose to let them destroy the product or ship it to a charity or even friend that lives in that country. Another option is to send to a 3rd party fulfillment center who will replace boxes, check the product and resend to Amazon for you. A very good tip to keep in mind for the future is to make an agreement with your manufacturer about replacing all broken units, in a future order. This way they will guarantee to get a new order from you, and you will avoid having to lose money and profits from the broken units.   Thanks Quin Amorim Selling Online

How can I get product reviews on Amazon? | Ep. #13 - Q&A Selling Online - From Amazon FBA to Shopify, Digital Marketing and Facebook Ads | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 13:56

How do I get reviews on Amazon? There is no special sauce to get verified reviews on Amazon, except to have lots of sales, a great product, and great customer service with an excellent email follow up. Quin explains how he uses his email campaign to email every single buyer with a personalized email. The software Quin uses is Feedback Genious to send email follow-up to all costumers who buy a certain product. Reviews on Amazon must be legit, or else you risk losing your selling privileges on the platform. Quin’s email sequence starts with an email sent 1 day after the product gets delivered to the buyer. In that email, he says the product should be delivered today, but in fact, we already know it was delivered the day before. So he proceeds to say, please let me know when you receive it, and if it was in perfect condition. This will almost force the buyer to interact and reply, saying ” I already received it, 1 day ahead of schedule” To the people who reply saying it already arrived and everything was perfect, Quin manually replies (his admin) saying:   Hey (name), I’m so glad to hear everything was perfect  Hope you love it as much as I do    Thanks Annie One week later (exactly 7 days after delivery) they will receive the second automated email This one will ask for a review: Hello (name) It has been a week since you received the (product name) I just wanted to see what you think about it. If you have 30 seconds, would you mind leaving a review on Amazon? Here is the link: (send link)   Thanks Annie   About 88% of people who receive the first email in the Canadian Amazon, will reply! I hope you have good luck getting more reviews, so keep working on your email sequence, and try to always make it sound personal to the receiver.   Thanks Q & A Selling Online

How do I get external traffic to Amazon | Ep. #12 - Q&A Selling Online - From Amazon FBA to Shopify, Digital Marketing and Facebook Ads | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 11:30

External traffic to Amazon How can I get external traffic and send them to Amazon? Find and use influencers on Youtube, Instagram, Facebook, and Blogs! Contact someone on youtube who is somewhat related to the category you are selling in. I make sure the influencer is not huge yet I make sure the influencer is not huge yet, so I can keep the costs lower and be more profitable as he/she grows the following and the video keeps getting views. On Instagram, I also try to find the upcoming “celebrity” related to my category or product, and I try to make sure they leave the post up for at least 1 week. Make sure to measure social media influencer engagement, I look at about 3% Always be aware of the fake followers (Bots) that leave comments not related to what is posted. A lot of users have fake followers to show huge engagements. You can also contact the admins of Facebook groups related to your product and ask them if you can give away free product to his audience. The last, but not least is blogs and bloggers. contact them and also offer the same free product giveaway for some of his audience and maybe even him/her. Good luck and make sure you choose a good social media influencer strategy to help you profit and create product awareness.

How can my competitor sell Private Label so low? | Ep. #11 - Q&A Selling Online - From Amazon FBA to Shopify, Digital Marketing and Facebook Ads | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 10:32

How can my competitors sell their private label product on Amazon for so low? welcome everybody to Q&A selling online Today I have a question from Andy, Andy has a question here that says I picked a best-seller product, I sourced it and now  I received I but I can’t compete with my competitor’s prices, how do they do it? That is a great question, The most important thing that I see here is Andy you picked a best-seller product which is something that I don’t advise a lot of people still do I don’t advise you to pick anything in the top 100 because the competition is going to be insane. There so many people out there doing exactly the same cuz all been taught the same, but I don’t think that that’s the best way to do it. What I wanted to point out is that not only pick the best seller but you should have done your research before ordering this product You researched that it does sell a lot, but you have to check your pricing you have to check how much is going to cost you to ship that to the US guessing that’s where you from I didn’t see that you have to see how much your taxes are going to be your duties or import taxes is what I’m talking about, now you have to send it to Amazon so you have to account for those fees the shipping now these shipping costs now Amazon is going to receive it and you have to account for the 15% Amazon your competitor can also be struggling with not making money you never know sometimes they probably went ahead and did it the exact same thing you did and now they think they’re making money, and they’re missing some of the fees and that is possible checking the reviews it can it gives you an estimate of how long they’ve been selling for and this person if did it as you know if you’re looking at to 3000 reviews this person can be selling for a long time and they can be selling thousands of these per week so when you sell thousand a week or 2,000 a week or 10,000 a month whatever it is, now your vendor in China the manufacturer is going to give you a better deal there’s no doubt about that, not only they’re going to bump you in line in the production so they can make yours quicker when you’re ordering 10000, but you also get a better deal. Now you can negotiate when you’re ordering 10000 of something every month or every couple months you can negotiate a little bit on pricing Always pay attention to your costs. You can’t just randomly pick a product, private label it,  put a nice package on it now send it to the US. Your vendor makes money on it, Amazon makes money on it, and you don’t make anything! Besides this point is, how can your competitors have such a low price? It depends on several things and you don’t really know what goes behind their doors. Your competitor can also be struggling with not making money, you never know, sometimes they probably went ahead and did it exact same thing you did, and now they think they’re making money and they’re missing some of the fees and that is possible again   the other thing is quality, do they have lower quality than you, cuz a lot of people think everything that’s made in China is cheap and low quality it isn’t Us North Americans and I don’t get tired of telling this to my friend, Us North Americans we always pick the lowest quality ones because they are the cheapest obviously, the cheapest quality product is going to have the lowest cost so you can have the exact same product in China they can make the highest quality in the world if we’re willing to pay that price, but then again when the price goes so high now is it worth it? The price got so high now that the quality is really good but at that price,

Should I sell online on Facebook? | Ep. #10 - Q&A Selling Online - From Amazon FBA to Shopify, Digital Marketing and Facebook Ads | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 15:17

Selling on Facebook: Stop trying to sell your products on your personal Facebook page!   Facebook can either greatest asset or it can be your biggest enemy when it comes to building your business The best option to sell on Facebook is using Shopify and connecting your stores. So I’m guessing that is what you mean when you say “sell on Facebook” I do have a little pet peeve, maybe it’s just a little warning about selling on Facebook with your personal Facebook account And I here’s what I want you to do I want you to think of your Facebook page as your personal TV channel and I want you to understand that when all you do is post specific company and product all of the time, what you basically are, is an infomercial for your network. You will watch a channel like this once or twice, but Once you knew what the channel was you would never go back If all they see on your page is selling your products, they will not tune in anymore. Want to see how people are engaging with your content? Go have a look at your last 10 posts about selling something… the likes and shares you have are always from the same people… and these people either are also selling this, or they are   Not Legitimately engaged with this product.   Did you know that only 10 or 15% of the people on your Facebook list actually see what you posted so now imagine that you have a list of 1000 friends only 10% of them are seeing your post so not thousand people saw your post only 100 saw it out of these 100 most of them are probably annoyed by now with your weight loss products your whatever it is that you are selling   Your number will get lower, because you are overly promotional, and FB’s algorithm will lower your posts exposure. Now the only people that see your post, are the people that liked and shared it.   You are not helping yourself, your friends are annoyed and you get annoyed with them. Because you see them liking other posts and not yours.   Think about it this way. How many times did you pull out your phone and think “let me go to FB to see what is for sale today” or “ let’s see what kind of weight loss products are out there? I mention weight loss products because they are the biggest responsible ones, and I’ve done it myself!   People go to FB to see what their friends are doing, the guy that shares pics of fancy cars all the time, the other that takes selfies in the gym every day, the hottie that posts a cleavage shot twice a day while doing the duck lips trick.   When people share, comment or like posts, Facebook values that engagement   Here is something most people don’t know. FB rates posts from 1 to 10 for engagement…. People of do Facebook advertising actually get to see the rate that FB gave them for each ad. When I create a FB ad and get rated 1 for engagement, not only FB slowly stops showing my ad to people, but also my cost goes up the roof. ( for those who don’t know, FB charges per interaction, or per CPM > 1000 views) When I get rated 10 I can show my ad to millions of people for as low as 0.001 (1/10 of a cent) per engagement. I actually Have a campaign that I created that ended up giving me over 40 million visitors to this it was a picture that I posted on one of the groups I manage not only the picture had over 40 million visitors it also ended up giving me over 40,000 new users for that group. Now Enough of what you shouldn’t do no let’s see what you should do or what you can do to actually sell your product. Create content, valuable content.  you should spend 90% of your time creating content offering some value to your friends your followers your buyers whoever it is you are targeting what this means is  90% of ...

I ordered my private label product from China, now what? | EP. #9 - Q&A Selling Online - From Amazon FBA to Shopify, Digital Marketing and Facebook Ads | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 29:18

I ordered a private label product from China, now what can I do, while I wait? The question came in from Josh, who asked: I ordered a private label product from China, now what can I do, while I wait? I am very happy that Josh has taken a step forward and he private labeled his own product. Now you will have to wait a bit, as the manufacturer will schedule the manufacturing process and they will prioritize people with bigger orders or with a better, more established relationship. Don’t be afraid of the delays. You will have lots of things to do while you wait for your private label product to arrive on Amazon. The first step is to create your Amazon listing, then, optimize that listing by taking the best keywords and search terms from your competitor. Make sure to have professional looking product pictures. You don’t need to hire a professional product photographer, but you do need to have professional looking pictures that make people want to buy your product. A great tip is to create a product giveaway by making 100% or 75% discount codes and give them away to people on Facebook groups who are looking for free product. The ninja hack here is to send them a super URL when giving them the discount code, so your product can achieve 100% conversion rate for a little bit and thus come up, to the top pages super quick.   Thanks for listening Please subscribe to the show and rate it if you like it

How do I open a Amazon seller account to start selling | Ep. #8 - Q&A Selling Online - From Amazon FBA to Shopify, Digital Marketing and Facebook Ads | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 32:53

Tony wants to know: How do you sell on Amazon? How do you sell on Amazon? If you want to start selling on Amazon, here are the steps you must take: Go to Amazon seller central, create an account as a seller, if you don’t already have one. (Here is a tip for you. don’t go to dot com, open seller central dot Amazon .ca, and open your account here. Now the benefits will be exactly the same and you can still sell in all north America, but instead of 49 bucks you will only pay 29) That saves you 200 and something dollars each year when you go pro. Before you list your product, there are a few things you should know; – are you going to ship the product yourself, or is Amazon going to fulfill it for you – is it your own product or PL or are you WS RA or OA? – Does your product have a unique bar code UPC click add a new product and now is where the fun starts. Actually, let’s back up one second… on the top of the screen towards the center, you should see a little country flag with a drop-down to amz . ca, .com and .mx which is for Mexico etc Make sure to pick your country first… elaborate. Now that you chose the correct country you will go to inventory > add new product It will give you the option to select the category ( pick the best cat that fits your product) Now you will see the listing page with some mandatory fields ( marked in red) Jump right in to the vital info tab – This is where you will enter the title and your mandatory UPC – Go to your offer and enter your price and even the sale price if you wish to sell lower at first to gain some sales velocity – Pictures, This is super important. The north American audience buys with their eyes. The title and the 5 bullet point will allow people to find you, but the pictures are more than likely what is going to sell your product. Take into consideration amz’s rules for pictures. The main has to be at least 1000 pixel on 1 side and I think 800 on the other ( I usually do 1500 x 1500 max (so it’s not slow loading), have a white background, and nothing else except the product. Make sure the product takes over 80% of your picture size. – Now we go over to the description, where the curious enough the description is not the most important thing. The 5 bullet points are the most important thing on this tab, and one of the top 3 most important things of the entire listing. Make sure to use all 5 Showcase the benefits of using your product, show them what the product will do for them ( The result they get by using it) (Give a few examples like weight loss pills, will make them be skinny, not “this package contains 28 pills” or “scientifically tested in a lab”. Those are important also, but you can add them into the description. The description allows 2000 char and I advise you to use them all. Here you can you a couple a very limited sample of HTML like bolding letters and creating paragraphs. Now, you must remember that Amazon is a search engine, and like any other SA they depend on keywords or search terms to deliver to the client a good experience. So you need to make sure your title and bullet points are filled with juicy keywords related to your product. If you are selling a spatula, don’t use keywords like a smart phone, or waterproof phone cover. – Now you will enter some back end keywords on the keywords/ search term tab. This has changed several times over the last couple years. It used to take up to 5000 char at one point, but at the time of this recording it takes 2000 characters (which should be more than enough to...

Why should I start a private label business and sell online | Ep. #7 - Q&A Selling Online - From Amazon FBA to Shopify, Digital Marketing and Facebook Ads | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 12:41

People ask me: Why Should I Start a Private Label Business? Well, the answer is very simple: If you don’t start you will never succeed! The first step of success is starting. Most people are afraid of the unknown, afraid of failure, afraid of being turned down. I rather fail at something than never try at all, I don’t know if I could live with myself if I wanted something but never tried getting it. A lot of people post publicly their results and profits from Amazon FBA and even Shopify stores, so you can see for yourself it is possible to create very successful private label businesses. If you are afraid, just find a cheap product that has a low MOQ (MINIMUM ORDER QUANTITY) and place an order of $300 or $400 to test the Amazon marketplace. Quin offered to help for FREE anyone who has questions or needs help getting started with private label.   Quin’s Contact can be found HERE or Facebook   Thanks
