Customers are adding to cart, but they don't buy, here is why | Ep. #36 - Q&A Selling Online - From Amazon FBA to Shopify, Digital Marketing and Facebook Ads | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 11:10

Why do Customers go to check out but don’t buy. A friend was having some issues with his Shopify store. Customers were adding to cart at a rate way higher than normal, but the conversion rate was the normal average 2%. After some investigation of the Shopify online store, Quin discovered that his friend did not have the price showing publicly. People would add to cart in order to find out what the price of the product was. Quin’s advice for the future was to install a monitor in the backend that tracks what your visitors do on your website. The tools are called Smartlook or Crazy Egg. They monitor every move of your visitors so you can find out what they see and were you lose them Customers go to check out but don’t buy, very often so always make sure to have a Pixel installed so you can retarget/remarket to the visitors that went all the way to your cart Thanks QA

How can I create several Facebook Pixels for several websites | Ep. #35 - Q&A Selling Online - From Amazon FBA to Shopify, Digital Marketing and Facebook Ads | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 4:58

How do I create several Facebook Pixels? It is possible to have unlimited Facebook pixels but not if you are only using the personal advertising account. In order to create sever Pixel properties, you need the facebook business advertising platform You can find the Facebook business account at business.facebook.com or while connected to your ads manager just do a search for Facebook Business in the top search bar. When you create a professional business account for Facebook ads (this is free) you will have access to several new enhanced features… One of these features is the ability to create unlimited Facebook pixels for every single website you own, or for all your clients. Using the Facebook Business account will also allow you to add people to the account. What I mean by this is adding users or workes that will also work under the same business account to operate ads for customers.

How easy is it to make you quit being an entrepreneur | Ep. #34 - Q&A Selling Online - From Amazon FBA to Shopify, Digital Marketing and Facebook Ads | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 11:03

How hard is it to make you quit? Here is a quick story that will show you how easy it is to stop someone from succeeding. I was contacted by several people asking for help to start their online businesses. I decided to help (100% free, I don’t have a course) In order to decide how bad someone wants to make it, I need to test them and see if I will be wasting my time! If someone wants to make passive income online but doesn’t want to do any work, or “doesn’t have the time” I immediately jump out, because my time is precious and I will not waste it with the looser mentalities. Some show the burning desire to achieve passive income, others only show a little bit, and some show me how they will NEVER make it. While talking to someone who wanted to start an online business with $0 (yes zero is still possible, but not as fast) I mentioned 3 businesses they could start with ZERO dollars and could start immediately. His answer was unbelievable. His barrier to entry was set has low has the capital he had to start, zero “BUT I DON’T HAVE A PAYPAL ACCOUNT” That was it, he didn’t have a PayPal account setup! Actually, for 1 of the business models I had in mind, you don’t need Paypal, because they will deposit the money directly into your bank. But I didn’t insist and that was the end of that entrepreneurial career. Thanks QA

Do you name your open brand products with keywords? | Ep. #33 - Q&A Selling Online - From Amazon FBA to Shopify, Digital Marketing and Facebook Ads | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 6:46

Do you name your open brand products with keywords? The question is from Jeff, who wants to know if I name my private label brand in the Everything brand, using the top keyword. First, let me explain what the everything brand is: It is a brand where I sell a bit of everything. An account where I put the products that I am testing and the products that were not 100% winners. In the everything brand, I don’t need to add logos or trademarks yet, as everything is in the product validation stage, or in the ” I don’t care about it” stage. So, to answer Jef’s question, the answer is yes! I do name my generic products with keywords, and I shove the same keyword on the title and the bullets, to make sure I am found. And then I let the pro pictures and reviews do the selling. Some products really take off, so they can get a trademark, logo and get branded. These often get new accounts set up Hope that answers: Do you name your open brand products with keywords   Thanks QA

Unedited Podcast - Facebook Ads Update from September | Ep. #32 - Q&A Selling Online - From Amazon FBA to Shopify, Digital Marketing and Facebook Ads | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 8:04

I found that the sound on a previous episode had been edited to remove all the white space( the time where I don’t speak) So the episode ( or maybe more than 1) sounded a bit robotic, almost as if I would not need to breathe. I apologize for that and have changed everything. Today’s episode is 100% pure and not edited, so have a listen. I also bring up this weeks change in the Facebook ads platform. The power editor and the ads manager both merge into 1 and becomes “ads manager” You can still chose the more automatic option for new advertisers and the, more manual approach to build a shell campaign, and later the ad set and the ads. Go to Facebook.com and have a look at the new ads manager The 2 options are called quick creation and guided creation   thanks QA

A online selling tip, for sellers who order from China | Ep. #31 - Q&A Selling Online - From Amazon FBA to Shopify, Digital Marketing and Facebook Ads | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 11:31

A tip for online sellers who order from China… Know when their holidays are and how long they last. Chinese, just like us have several holidays, but instead of lasting 1 day, they have holidays that last up to a few weeks!   * Chinese New Year celebrations, also known as the Spring Festival, in China start on the 23rd day of the 12th lunar month of the Chinese calendar. The festival lasts for about 23 days, ending on the 15th day of the first lunar month in the following year in the Chinese calendar * Qingming Festival of 2018 falls on April 5. People sweep ancestors’ tombs on the day. The holiday from April 5 to 7, 2018 is also a great time for a spring outing. * Dragon Boat Festival 2018 falls on June 18 (Monday). The holiday in China starts from June 16 to 18, 2018. Dragon Boat Festival, also called Duanwu or Tuen Ng Festival, is a traditional holiday observed annually over 2,000 years in China to commemorate Qu Yuan (340-278 BC), an ancient Chinese patriotic poet. Originated from south China, Dragon Boat Festival enjoys higher popularity in southern areas, such as Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Guangdong and Fujian Provinces * Falling on the 15th day of the 8th month according to the Chinese lunar calendar, the Mid-Autumn Festival is the second grandest festival in China after the Chinese New Year. It takes its name from the fact that it is always celebrated in the middle of the autumn season. The day is also known as the Moon Festival, as at that time of the year the moon is at its roundest and brightest * Chinese National Day is celebrated on October 1st every year to commemorate the founding of People’s Republic of China. On that day, lots of large-scaled activities are held nationwide. Besides, the 7-day holiday from Oct. 1st to 7th is called “Golden Week”, during which more and more Chinese people go traveling around the country Always make sure to place your order accounting with these breaks, so you dont run out of stock for too long   Thanks QA

Should I trademark my online Business, and a PPC advertising tip | Ep. #30 - Q&A Selling Online - From Amazon FBA to Shopify, Digital Marketing and Facebook Ads | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 7:15

Should I trademark my online business? Trademarking your business is always a good idea, but only after the business has proven itself to be viable. At the beginning of every entrepreneurial attempt all the money can be used for something, so why waste it on something like a trademark. It is too soon if you are starting… use your money, time and energy to develop and grow this business and then you can start to think about trademarking Nobody took that name until now and more than likely nobody will take it from you. There are a couple options when it comes to trademarks. You can try to do it yourself or you can hire someone. To be honest the price difference doesnt really make it worth it for you to learn and waste time trying to do it yourself. It costs between $200 and $300 to get one in the US. What you can do to save yourself some time is do a trademark search to see if what you want isnt already being used   Since today’s show was so quick I will give you an excellent tip for Amazon sellers. This tip is about PPC Pay per click advertising on Amazon Create a night time PPC campaign to save you a ton of money. why does this save you money? Because all the other sellers have a budget and that budget will be used throughout the day competing against other sellers. by the time 7 or 8 pm come around most sellers already depleted their advertising budget, and now you can save (up to 80 cents per click in my experience)   Hope you love this tip, and if it works for you, please contact me and let me know Contact above on this site, or email at quin@quinamorim.com   Thanks QA

How to increase your Amazon sales per costumer with 1 simple trick | Ep. #29 - Q&A Selling Online - From Amazon FBA to Shopify, Digital Marketing and Facebook Ads | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 7:30

Want to sell more on Amazon? Here is a quick tip on how to increase the number of products bought by a customer. Frequently bought together Amazon has been using for years the “frequently bought together” and this is because it works. Over 20% of Amazon’s sales come from frequently bought together, and people buying several items to save on shipping. Well, you should be taking advantage of that. Go look at your own products and see what the are frequently bought with… and if the second and third product is not yours, well you are losing money. Create a “buy one get one” campaign and offer a second product for free or give a big discount ( at this point it doesn’t matter if you will lose a few bucks) This way when the customer buys your product bundled with your other 2 products they will very quickly become part of the 3 bought together. If you can get your sales per customer to increase from 1.1 to 1.4 imagine how much more money you will be making. Now go try this using the white hat technique I just told you and after you see the results you can come back here and thank me, lol   Thanks QA

Eye-Tracking Heatmaps Reveal Where People Really Look | Ep. #28 - Q&A Selling Online - From Amazon FBA to Shopify, Digital Marketing and Facebook Ads | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 18:09

We all have heard of heatmap technology installed in the back end of our websites, in order to track what our visitors are doing on the webpage. Today what I am talking about is |Eye tracking heat maps, that actually track what an audience is looking at. Normal heatmap technology has been around for a while. You install a sniped of code int the backend of your website, and it records video of your costumers using the site. This allows you to see where they came from, what they are looking at and where you lost them. You can see where the person is from, their IP address, what Operating system they are using and even what version of that. The recorder will track everything they do, all the way to checkout, where you will no be able to record, for safety and privacy reasons. This is super important technology because it tells us what people were looking at on each picture or video, and what they like looking at. So you know what to give them together with your product. The main thing to consider is to have a good looking person on the picture while smiling.   I also talked about “banner blindness” that nobody sees the ads that are on the right of the pages like in 1990. And if you have an eCommerce website you should never have Adsense running on the page or any other advertising other than your own product.   Not Affiliate links! Free visitor recording software is called Smartlook Neil Patel’s tracking software and website editor is called Crazy Egg  (Put Crazy Egg to the test for free for 30 days, on us) The Business Insider  – 29 Eye-Tracking Heatmaps Reveal Where People Really Look   If you have any questions contact me at quin@quinamorim.com or click on the “Contact me” button   Thanks Quin (yes I wrote these show notes myself, and edited the sound of the podcast, lol)

How do you get ready for 4th quarter? | Ep. #27 - Q&A Selling Online - From Amazon FBA to Shopify, Digital Marketing and Facebook Ads | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 7:50

How are you preparing for the 4th quarter? Today Quin was dealing with a hijacker on one of his brand new listings, the one that was awarded the number 1 new hot item. After 30 minutes on the phone with seller support, they had that seller removed. So, today’s question came from Richard who wants to know what do you do to get ready to Q4? Q4 is the fourth quarter of the year which is the best time to be an online seller. In Q4 we have Cyber Monday, Black Friday, Christmas and Quin even made up black Tuesday and pancake Monday The Q4 preparations must have started already and Quin has 2 sea cans on the way to the US. Meanwhile, while he waits for the product to be made and then shipped, he updates the listings to make sure there are only 250 characters in the backend, and that the listing is fully optimized. Quin also explained a little ninja hack he uses to capture the canonical URL from Amazon. By entering only 5 keywords into the title. I hope that helped Thanks QA

Why are Amazon seller fees so high | Ep. #26 - Q&A Selling Online - From Amazon FBA to Shopify, Digital Marketing and Facebook Ads | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 5:49

Why are Amazon seller fees so high? A couple sellers were asking the reason for Amazon seller fees being so high. Amazon has several types of fees, the 2 most talked about are the pick and pack fee and the 15% commission ( that is sometimes smaller in other categories) Pick and pack fee is a fixed fee calculated by size and weight, the percent fee is normally (except a few cases) a 15% commission of the gross sales value. Paying 15% for a number of sales you can get from Amazon is a no-brainer. As for the pick and pack fee, if you think it is too much, it means you are probably selling items that are too cheap, and the pick and pack fee represents a big percent of the products total value. what you can do is either sell items above the $20 mark, or bundle 2 or 3 lower priced items into 1, therefore paying the pick and pack fee only once. And this is why Amazon seller fees are so high   Thanks QA

How to start a online business without money | Ep. #25 - Q&A Selling Online - From Amazon FBA to Shopify, Digital Marketing and Facebook Ads | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 5:43

How to start an online business without any money Question from Ali Assaf: How can I start an online business without money. There are a couple different ways you can do it with zero investment. One is dropshipping, This is when you contact a manufacturer and ask to create a shipping agreement. You sell the product at your own price and the manufacturer will ship to your client. The second is affiliate marketing. Quin explains the example of Click Funnels, and how you can register to become an affiliate and receive lifetime commission on the sale of products or services you don’t own. This is how to create an online business without money Thanks

How to make $100 if you had nothing? | Ep. #24 - Q&A Selling Online - From Amazon FBA to Shopify, Digital Marketing and Facebook Ads | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 5:07

How would you make $100 in 12 days if you had nothing? Question from Richard (actually its more of a game than a question) How would you make $100 in 12 days if you had nothing? Without complicating the answer, the obvious thing that comes to mind is to get a job for a day! If you can’t make $100 in 12 days working at a job, then you need to move. if you were looking for the entrepreneurial answer, then I would make a few ads on Kijiji or craigslist and offer to make dump runs with the pickup truck, As a third option, assuming you wanted the answer to be related to some online technique, I would start drop shipping. Just get a picture of some product and start selling it on eBay or Amazon. This would give me the money immediately and the customer would receive his order after 20 days or so, from China   And this is how I would make $100 in less than 12 days, lol   Thanks QA

How much money do I need to start my Private label? | Ep. #23 - Q&A Selling Online - From Amazon FBA to Shopify, Digital Marketing and Facebook Ads | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 4:51

How much money does it take to start a private label product Today’s question from Chris is: how much money do I need to start my private labeling? Quin says it can be as low as $1000 but it really depends on how much money you can invest, or how much you are comfortable investing. If you start with a thousand bucks, you can probably profit 200, but if you can start with ten thousand you can scale way faster. Also, a quick tip is to leave all the revenue from the sales back into the business and re-invest until you grow.   Thanks QA

A family trip in Banff, Alberta - Q&A Selling Online - From Amazon FBA to Shopify, Digital Marketing and Facebook Ads | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 5:03

Driving through Banff, Alberta with the family Today the show is on the road. Quin and the Family (wife, a 4-year-old girl and the 3-week old twins) are enjoying some relaxing time in Banff, before driving to BC to a wedding at a winery. Yesterday, one of Quin’s new product launches, achieved the Amazon number 1 new product badge, within 1 week of being launched. He received a call from a friend who is also a partner in a kitchen cabinet business, they have up in Fort McMurray. The call was to congratulate on the Amazon number 1 badge, but the surprise was that after a bit of talking, he let Quin know that on a recent trip to Vegas, his partner had bought some sun glasses at a discount and resold them online. He was very excited, and coincidently he had listened to Quin’s podcast about Retail arbitrage that day. More excited than his partner was Quin, who loves hearing stories of people who learned something or did something due to listening to his podcast I hope you enjoy the show   Thanks QA
