In this incredibly interesting episode, Alex Frost of QuickFlora joins Kelly to chat about technology in the floral industry. You’ll hear about how changes in floral design technology have impacted the industry over the years—from the invention of the internet to accelerated deliveries. Alex is explaining how introducing robotics and kiosks to the floral industry can be a positive addition; he talks through what they are and how they work.

Alica’s love affair with flowers began while growing up in Northern California spending time playing and clipping in her grandmother’s garden. She began her career whilst working a 9-5 job when she began taking floral design classes in the evenings, and shortly after, she started her business, Bella Fiori. She’s still designing after 10 years, but now she also writes the Flirty Fleurs blog, coaches new business owners, gardening, and traveling to conferences and floral cities! After a successful career as a professional ballet dancer, Amy’s innate sense of movement, grace, and grand vision translated seamlessly to the magical world of florals and design. At first glance, her signature work evokes a sense of loose, wild abandon while her keen eye and desire for precision have cemented her reputation as one of the South’s most sought-after event designers. Clients, colleagues, and friends alike admire Amy for her balanced approach to art and life. She believes in the power of good fun and strong females to make the world go round.

Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Laura is the third female and first Latina president of the Tournament of Roses and is providing leadership for the 131st Rose Parade® and the 106th Rose Bowl Game® on January 1, 2020. Laura has been a volunteer member of the Tournament of Roses Association since 1993, and she was appointed a Tournament Chairperson in 2004 and a Tournament Director in 2010. Professionally, Farber is a partner in the Pasadena law firm of Hahn & Hahn, where she practices civil litigation with an emphasis in employment disputes.

As a passionate teacher, Susan offers private design instruction for new and professional florists in her studio and through destination workshops.

Jenn Sanchez is joining us on this episode of the Team Flower Podcast!
