This month's On The Road episode, we head west of our headquarters state of Missouri to Kansas. down the Kansas Turnpike and over lots abandon raibeds to the town of Wichita.  Wichita, Kansas used to be a center of rai for the plains, with all the cattle drives ending Wichita. Now freighttrains still rumble through but most don't stop. Passenger Servive ended years ago, a some folksare trying to restart service. The town still has it's Union Station, is semi good repair, with developers tryng to bring new life into it. Wichita is home to one of the world's biggest builder's of locomotives. Chance Rides makes a replic steam engines for lots of zoo and amusement parks. For the model train lovers, the town's Floral gardens, Botanica, the Wichita Gardems, has a beautiful railroad garden where we will be set up for this episode.
