Watching the Tudors
Summary: Husband and wife watch The Tudors. He knows nothing about the 16th century. She has been podcasting about Renaissance England since 2009. In this episode by episode guide he'll ask her questions, and they'll discuss the stories behind the drama, looking at what really happened at the Tudor court. We think it's a fun way to make the 16th century more accessible, and any excuse to see more of Jonathan Rhys Meyers is a good thing. (She wrote that part). In Episode 04 Jonathan and I talk about the fourth episode of The Tudors in which all kinds of crazy shiz happens. Marguerite of Navarre has a one night stand with Henry (never happened - and I'm totally offended on Marguerite's behalf), Henry gets into a jousting accident, is confronted with his own mortality, and we talk about the Queens of medieval and Renaissance Europe. Boudica makes an appearance, 1000 years too late. If you like this show, please please please, pretty please with a cherry on top, leave a rating on iTunes, or a review.
