It's finally open! The area may seem like a large wet play land but it can get full. Best time to go would probably be right at opening. There are 5 changing rooms and it is strongly recommended that you bring a spare dry outfit to change into. There are lockers that you can rent to place your items in while you are having fun. Two bench areas are provided for parents or friends to sit just outside of the wet zone. The constant water works will get everyone wet, even on the benches, with a fine mist. It is totally worth planning to block out a hour of your day playing in Super Silly Fun Land.
There were two goals of the day, First was getting the final footage needed for the Studio Tour episode and also checking out Super Silly Fun Land. I remembered to wear sunblock this trip to the park and glad I did, no sunburn this week! I had a blast in Super Silly Fun Land and wish I knew up the changing rooms in advance. You will want to bring a change of dry clothes with you. I finally took a moment to realize just how many improvements are coming to the park in the next few years. There will be the new parking lot, Simpson's Themed Area, Fast & Furious Studio Tour Attraction, and Harry Potter! Plus I am looking forward to the Night Tour of the Studio Tour next year.
I entered CityWalk and as I walked towards Universal I could hear girls screaming near ExtraTv. When I arrived, ExtraTv was already doing an interview with Austin Mahone. After he shook hands with the audience I headed into the park to discover that "Lights, Camera, Music" is complete and "Blues Brothers" schedule is back to the earlier times. I go to enjoy the noon show then watch the Character Dance Party before heading into "House of Horrors". As I waited for the attraction to reopen at 12:45, I talked with Lucy. When I went through "House of Horrors" I spoke with some of the crew inside. If they see anyone with a camera they are trained to watch to make sure that no flash photography or videography is being taken. I kept my iPhone on the HDR setting and turned the screen lighting all the way down. I did not want to distract any of the performers. I then headed back over to the Studio Tour where I was ready to complete my second tour of the day and my fifth overall to get the footage needed for a special episode for the podcast. On my way out I watched a bit of the Harry Potter Construction and an active crane working on the new Simpson's area. The new parking lot is coming along near the 101 entrance. A structure hasn't started to be built yet.
I rushed into the park to catch the tail end of "Lights, Camera, Music," I enjoyed watching the Character Street Party., and also hanging with Gru's Girls. I decided to also take the Studio Tour a few times and grab video & photos from different angles. I got lucky and got to meet some new characters n the French Quarter. www.UniversalAnnualPass.us
A chorus that travelled all the way from Australia to perform for "Lights, Camera, Music" as Universal Studios Hollywood on April 21st 2014.
I love the two little boys who are part of this small group of talented dancers. This group also came from Australia for "Lights, Camera, Music"
A very talented dance group who came from Australia to perform at "Lights, Camera, Music"
I started the day by immediately going to watch "Lights, Camera, Music" on the Blue's Brothers' Stage. I missed the first group of the day but was impressed by the two dance groups I did get to watch. I then headed over to grab lunch at Gru's Lab Cafe. I walked past a man playing the piano. I love how Universal Studios' has entertainment scattered around the park. I even got to watch Street Sweeps perform after lunch. I loved my grilled cheese with pulled pork and BBQ. I am glad I stayed for the afternoon interview with ExtraTv and got to meet Katharine McPhee. I did get a quick update on the construction progresses.
I started the day with getting my face painted and had full intentions of going on the Studio Tour. I ended up enjoying a full hour of amazing music and performances by two groups from Australia. I then checked out the new Palace Cafe before taking a peek at Super Silly Fun Land. www.UniversalAnnualPass.us

Previous Addresses: Due to the extremely popular WaterWorld podcast, I have decided to upload an additional WaterWorld podcast. This one features a few highlight footage from the live show. The video footage I have from the show is over 17 minutes long. I reviewed the whole video and edited some of the highlights together for your enjoyment. I strongly recommend visiting the live show whenever you come to the park. www.UniversalAnnualPass.us
There is nothing like a full stage show, especially when it is on a huge stage with explosions and water! The show is about 20 minutes long and is action packed. www.UniversalAnnualPass.us
Introducing the newest Universal Studios Hollywood ride.... Silly Swirly. Yes, Minion Mayhem is also a new ride, but this one is small and gives you that old time theme park feeling. Plus there is a really cute kids' play area right next door! www.UniversalAnnualPass.us
