Modern Sewciety Podcast

Summary: Modern Sewciety features modern creative bloggers in many different industries such as sewing, crafting. I will chat with each guest about what really led them to blogging, why they blog, what inspires them, what blogging has brought them, for example book deals, designing fabric and patterns, working with other companies. We will also talk about their passions that fuel their blogs like sewing, crafting, cooking, home improvement, and parenting. It is a chance to get to know them a little more than what we read on their blogs and just have a great time chatting. If you would like to suggest a modern creative blogger you would like to see interviewed on the podcast just email me at themodernsewciety (at) gmail (dot) com. Enjoy!

You are going to love my chat with my guest Jessie Ziegler today from Threaded Quilting Studio. Jessie is an amazing longarm quilter and talented sewists. Jessie and I chat all about the ins and outs of longarm quilting. Jessie answered all of questions about what you need to send to a longarm quilter when sending in your quilts to be quilted. I so enjoyed getting to know more about Jessie's story into sewing and then long arming for others and I know you will enjoy it too.  MS episode 177: Erin from Maternity Sewing | File Type: audio/x-m4a | Duration: Unknown

I get emails often about suggestions for guests for the podcast and this episode was the result of one of those emails. Erin reached out to me about her new website, Maternity Sewing, she started with fellow sewist, Lisa. Erin and Lisa saw that there was a need for information on sewing patterns and pattern hacks for maternity clothes so they started Maternity Sewing. Erin and I chat about how they decided to start a website, what information they wanted to have on the site, what would be helpful to sewists who wanted to stitch up maternity clothing, and so much more. They have even started a podcast! These ladies are on a mission and I really love how they are helping others build a handmade wardrobe while pregnant and postpartum. Speaking of postpartum, we do chat about our experiences after giving birth and I hope you find some of our chat helpful and uplifting. I really loved getting to know more about Erin and how Maternity Sewing can help so many in our community.
