Unfortunately prison life and culture is a reality for more people than you can ever know if you have not been indoctrinated into it firsthand on some level or another. What many people do not seem to grasp is that when an individual is incarcerated the entire family of that person is affected greatly and the pain can range from mild to severe depending on how close that family and support structure of friends can be. This particular program is not about judging anyone, because if they have served their time and are trying to assimilate into society in a lawful manner then they deserve to be treated in the same manner as any other law abiding citizen without the stigma of their past constantly hanging over their heads. On the same token we are not enabling anyone but speaking out on the unseen realities that must be faced most often in a very intimidating way because those of us who do not understand what the world can appear to be to a person who has completed a long bid will most likely not be as understanding as someone who has been through it. This night will not be some sterilized or prepared censored offering, but a raw look into the seemingly unsurmountable mountains and tough challenges that one will encounter when being freshly released from incarceration on the various federal, state and county institutions. But in the end after discussing the many trials and tribulations of coming out into the outside world after being locked up we want to delve into the solutions that will give hope to those who feel hopeless because at the end of the day, God woke everyone up for a purpose, even if man's system and way of doing things say something much different. Everything is possible when one is undergirded sincerely with God's true word and law! Do not miss this show!

Tonight we are going to vibe with Ena Griffin, strong woman who has felt the ultimate pain that any mother could ever feel in this life - the loss of a child through murder. Now briefly in her words I want you to absorb a small piece of the particulars.   "My 19  year old son, Teddy Beckles, was murdered on Sept 20th @ approx. 2:40 in the afternoon in Midtown Manhattan, New York, in front of Environmental Studies HS on 56th Street by 4 boys, 2 of which are Environmental students, the other 2, students of other NY City schools.  He was walking with his now 4 months pregnant girlfriend, they approached him, had words, he fought 1 boy.  The other 3 jumped so he was beaten by the 4 of them.  They had him on the ground continuing to beat him and then they stabbed him and ran taking the murder weapon with them.  This was done in front of dozens of students from not only Environmental Studies HS but also, Independent HS which is housed in the same building which is also where Teddy attended.   Dozens watched as he got jumped, beat, stabbed and eventually laid dying in the street waiting for an ambulance.  He was transported to a hospital on the other side of town because the one 2 blocks away, Roosevelt Hospital doesn't have a trauma center. Again Dozens watched, and NONE want to come forward to say what they saw.   This is just the TIP of the iceberg of what has started this spiral of events that has now begun my crusade for justice for my son." While this may be only one program, do know that I intend to follow through to the end in my support of her and I am expecting all of us here in the LanceScurv family to do the same thing too! We MUST start to show some unity because all we have is US regardless of color, sex or religion! Please tune in and show your support for my mission!

The LanceScurv Show All Night Off The Chain After Party # 18

For those of you who don't know what Hamburger Helper is, it is an additive that many use when making hamburgers to add flavor and stretch the amount of meat that is available. Some swear by it and others just don't see the point of its use. This is the reason why I used the name of the product in the title of this week's show, because many individuals who are proclaiming their love of God in public and respect for His omnipotent presence and mighty power are dipping and dabbing in the occult practices as like their indulgence will strengthen God's power in their life as though it actually needs help in the first place! What this tells me is that these individuals do not truly believe in what they proclaim God to be or that they are not exactly as diligent in seeking God's face as they think. Are they merely going through the outward motions of Christianity as a cover for their indulgence in Witchcraft and if they are why the secrecy if they really believe what they practice is right? This program was not created to condemn any belief system that anyone may have, but to bring clarity to what many do behind closed doors secretly with a passion not seen in most religions. So what is it about witchcraft, the occult and practices that many Christians would caution against tinkering with but whose warnings usually fall on deaf ears on some of their same congregation members who jump and shout just as hard as the next spirit filled believer? Is their practice against any Biblical laws? Is there some power in it and if it is then by what spiritual authority does it operate under? Is there a price to be paid for Christians utilizing the spells and incantations that are so brazenly advertised online and in the back pages of some of our more popular periodicals and magazines?  

17 year old Jordan Davis, a Wolfson High School Student,  was shot and killed by Melbourne, Florida resident Michael David Dunn during an altercation at a Jacksonville gas station over loud music. The two came face to face Friday night at the Gas Station on Southside Boulevard and Baymeadows Road in Jacksonville Florida. Police say the argument over loud music ended with Dunn firing several shots into an SUV carrying Davis and three of his friends. Dunn told police he felt threatened, and claimed the teens flashed a shotgun. Is this business as usual in Florida as another unarmed Black Teenager is killed? Was this a fluke happening? Was this racially driven? Is this the result of Post Election Stress Disorder? And how does the "Stand Your Ground" law play into this after Mr. Dunn claimed to see a shotgun when in fact there was no weapon whatsoever? Word on the street is that he was well versed in his gun hobby so was this an attempt to find a loophole to get out of the inevitable? And as citizens of this country, what are we going to do to change the perception that all Black males are threats and some kind of evil predator when in fact the majority of Black kids as well as ALL kids would never even think of harming another to the point they would have to get shot and killed even if an argument transpired. Tune in and let's get to the bottom of what we need to do to stop this from happening again!

Is it that women can sometimes be too clingy? Is it that they may not be willing to try new things in the bedroom? Does she spend too much money and fails to budget her earnings or maybe she breathing down your neck with the little purchases that you make while ignoring her own! Does she discipline her children or does she let them run wild and get upset when YOU say something about it or - God forbid - actually DO something to straighten them out. How about her family? Do they disrespect you in those subtle ways that have her proclaiming that you are imagining things? Is she downright nasty? Does she get dressed in the morning by pulling some dirty clothes out of the hamper to wear after ironing them or even worse, maintaining a dirty pile of clothes on the bedroom floor from with to dress from? Does she hold it over her head that you have to eat her nasty cooking? Does she flirt with other men in your presence or maybe maintains a close friendship with an ex lover that she just can't seemed to dismiss from her life? Now those were but a few of the reason why a man would look at the front door more than you catching him checking out your backside!

Here was yet another compelling mix of deep conversation and intimate confession. The title of After Party was definitely misleading for this segment but it was a great exchange nonetheless. I highly encourage you to sit back and enjoy this one with your full attention because there is a tremendous amount of wisdom dropped here that many can utilize in their personal walk!

It's the ultimate open market of illusion! The internet is a place where you can be all that you want to be without a shred of proof and validation! Real hustlers know that most people are gullible if you "appear" in impressive garb or talk a fascinating and convincing game in rapid fire manner. Substance in cyber space is not necessary as long as the fantasy is sold convincingly. We don't even seem to desire the real thing because the illusion of the false promises titillate us more and "feels" better than anything in reality! .......and THIS is the hook that gives these internet hustlers their ability to have their strongholds on your life in ways that most would find literally unbelievable! But this is the catch, we are all receptive to the various forms of attacks on our sense of reasoning in specific ways, the internet hustler is excellent at discerning what our weaknesses may be and will tailor their attack to fit those weaknesses. Whether it's a need to find love, make lots of money, satisfy a wonton need for freakish sex or submit to a false prophet who plays on our mounting guilt in order to profit for their benefit. So even though the title of this program has a few limited schemes you have to know that the hustles of the sharks that swim and lurk in cyberspace are too numerous to list. That being said, are you sure that you ARE not or HAVE not been used and abused by an internet shyster? We want to expose these characters and how they get next to a person in order to leech them of there resources seemingly successfully time and time again. These faceless entities move without accountability and will continue to do so until we control our gullibility to not give them so easily what they want us to share. Tune in for a revealing look into what most of us are afraid to face or even acknowledge.

It's that time of the year again people! It's time to celebrate and give thanks for all that we've been blessed with as we made it through another year of sacrifice, hard work and occasional discomfort to reach our goals or just plain old staying afloat! But with the holidays comes another unexpected and unplanned occurence in the form of our ongoing family drama! If the truth be told we ALL have those unwanted visits from those who just can't seem to get their act together yet always know that can magically appear to "drop in" on you because they know that they will always have a captive audience from which to perform their yearly crap! Drunk uncles, freeloading cousins, crackhead sisters and evil gossiping in-laws always add spice to that ever elusive Thanksgiving celebration that always seems to be out of reach because of the peace that never seems to be in your grasp. This year let us plan to take another huge serving of that almost guaranteed happening that comes just as soon as the turkey comes out of the oven!
