Out Now with Aaron and Abe

This week’s episode of Out Now with Aaron and Abe, finds the gang delving back into the world of Canadian mutants. The Wolverine is upon Aaron, Abe, and guests Jose Cordova and Jordan from Jersey, and they are all anxious to talk about what old man Logan has been up to this time around. Additionally, all of the regular segments are present as well, including “Know Everybody”, “Out Now Quickies”, “Movie Call Back”, “Out Now Feedback”, and Trailer Talk (47 Ronin and The Grandmaster). The gang was very careful this week, as adamantium claws are nothing to joke about and sitting on one can be terrible. They took caution as they recorded, but were also happy to try and keep everyone entertained.

The special bonus episode of Out Now with Aaron and Abe is all about San Diego Comic Con 2013. Aaron was in attendance for all five days along with frequent guest and friend of the show Alan Aguilera. The two of them are both present for this episode, talking at length about what happened mainly in regards to the big movie panels that occurred within the always incredibly packed Hall H. Both Aaron and Alan share their experiences within the hall and talk about the footage seen and what went on with the panel participants. The two also talk about some of their favorite experiences and sights seen at this year’s Comic Con. It is a lengthier discussion than anticipated, but certainly packed with info.

This week’s episode of Out Now with Aaron and Abe, the gang gets back to spooky basics, as they discuss The Conjuring with guests Aaron Fink and Markus Robinson, a re-teaming for the ages! The guys all dig into this movie and whether or not it made them worry about things that went bump in the night. Plenty of fun is had this week, because if there was no fun, it would just be too scary to sit and the dark and record all the movie chatter that occurs between all these guys.

This week’s episode of Out Now with Aaron and Abe puts the apocalypse on hold so Abe, Aaron, and guests Alan Aguilera and Josh L’Heureux can discuss Guillermo Del Toro’s film, Pacific Rim. It is all about big monsters fighting big robots and it’s the kind of thing that the guys are all pretty excited about already, so perhaps they had a good time. Plenty of fun is had this week, as the guys are all about talking extensively about Jaeger vs. Kaiju, while keeping spirits quite high.

This week’s episode of Out Now with Aaron and Abe is full of Fourth of July-inspired joy as the guys are joined by guests Jordan Grout (in studio with Aaron) and David Yeh (newest guest, but fitting in nicely), to discuss the latest Disney-Depp adventure, The Lone Ranger. Still, that doesn’t stop Aaron from gathering together guests Christian Spicer and Brandon Peters to talk about the latest explosion-fest from director Roland Emmerich, White House Down. World War Z and Monsters University both arrived in theaters this past weekend and Aaron and Abe are joined by Markus Robinson and Salim Lemelle to discuss both films. This week’s episode of Out Now with Aaron and Abe finds the guys taking a step back from the major theater releases and focusing, instead, on many of the films currently in limited release. Abe is around for a little fun, but the majority of the episode finds Aaron and guests Adam Gentry and Mark Johnson delving into a good number of films, including Before Midnight, The Place Beyond the Pines, Frances Ha, Mud, and more. There is a little time for some regular segments, such as “Out Now Quickies”, but this is a different sort of episode, that finds time to mention the smaller films that deserve more attention.

Look, up on the web! It’s a google search, it’s a YouTube vid…no, it’s a special bonus episode of Out Now with Aaron and Abe. The guys are joined by Scott Mendelson, Brandon Peters, and Jordan Grout for an audio commentary for the original superhero film, Superman: The Movie (Director’s Cut), starring Christopher Reeves, Marlon Brando, and Gene Hackman. This Richard Donner-directed film set the bar for superhero movies that would follow and everyone is up to the task of discussing the film, its legacy, other superhero films, and more. As always, feel free to synch up the movie with our recorded commentary or give it a listen on its own, the guys rarely stop talking, it’s their superpower.

This week’s episode of Out Now with Aaron and Abe is a double episode with plenty of magic and wonder...sorta, because the films of the week are After Earth and Now You See Me. Guests Jimmy O and Jose Cordova reunite with the A’s to talk about another Dwayne “The Rock, “The ‘D’ Is Silent” Johnson-starring film to discuss the latest entry in this high octane franchise and whether or not audiences deserve this brand of fun in the summer. This special bonus episode of Out Now with Aaron and Abe has been long in the making. Many episodes have gone by where praise was given to possibly the most underrated of the Fast and Furious films, but the time has come for us to provide an audio commentary for the film in its entirety. Abe joins in after about 30 minutes have gone by, but Aaron begins and continues with guests Brandon Peters (movie guy) and Rodney Kremer (car guy), to provide real insight into the film, the franchise, and of course random tangents. So feel free to have fun with this film, even if the guys show few signs of affection.

This week’s episode of Out Now with Aaron and Abe is a lavish celebration of the 20s in theme, as Aaron is joined by guests Laremy Legal and Jonathon Van Dyke to discuss Baz Luhrmann’s take on F. Scott Fitzgerald’s The Great Gatsby. That’s right, the guys have practiced their Lindy Hop and put on quite the show in this episode…okay, so that’s not entirely true, but the group does discuss the film, along with other movie-related talk.
