The world champion chess master of the Philippines is back and he's hunting down hiders in the reactor. We also meet our new favorite character Asst. Dir. Kersh. It's time for the first X-Files movie. Matt joins us to discuss bees, herda hada yokel kids, and the proper etiquette for borrowing a friend's clothing. We learn that if you forget the mythology up to this point and ignore the definitions of words it makes much more sense. We also have the greatest theme tune ever, a special surprise visit via explanatory monologue, and the reading of the contest winning fanfic.
Dan and Mike join us for the season five finale 5x20 "The End" in which a chess-playing telepath from the Philippines is revealed to be the key to ALL of the X-Files. How is this possible? No Clue. I'm SURE we'll find out in the movie. Check n' Spender are back in the mix and being completely wasted. Millennium 2x20 "A Room With No View" is horrifically terrifying and amazing.
Matt and Mel join us to discuss 5x19 “Folie à Deux” a super bonkers ep about secret bug bosses and the humans that decide to try and assassinate them. We also learn about Teliko's party planning and question the logistics of this office layout. Millennium 2x19 Anamnesis dives deep into wacky religious Dan Brown territory.
Pretender expert-by-relation Nutty, Matt, and stowaway Mel join us to discuss the instantly forgettable 5x18 "The Pine Bluff Variant" in which Stingray tricks Mulder into going undercover to infiltrate a domestic terrorist organization that is actually the government. Emmy and Ina join us for 5x17 "All Souls" in which half-human deformed angel babies are viciously murdered by the most ridiculous CGI angel ever and Scully remembers she had a kid for a minute. In Millennium 2x17 "Siren" Frank is offered the chance to make a deal with a Japanese sea monster.
Heidi and Matt are here to discuss the lackluster Episode 5x16 "Mind's Eye" Claire has all the blind facts and Lili Taylor got hazard pay for the chip she had to carry on her character's shoulder. The Millennium Group defeats the Nazis who were clearly never known for their subtlety in 2x16 "Roosters".
