Bjorn Larsens unique sound is definitely a reflection of his diverse background. Born in Goteborg, Sweden to a Swedish dad and an Ecuadorian mom, Bjorns entire life has been supplemented with a collection of interesting cultures. European, Latin American, Arabic, and North American to name a few. Despite being brought up with these traditional values, Bjorn finds most of his influence coming from the oddest of places. Houston, Texas. But perhaps it is not so odd considering that Houston is a major melting pot for every culture in the world. The diversity flowing through the city is really what has infused Bjorn with a flavorful yet underground global sound that seamlessly translates unto any dance floor around the world. With over ten years of djing experience, Bjorn Larsen has steadily grown into a very solid presence in the now thriving Houston electronic scene. Currently, he is the head of Reverse and the A and R agent for Nightshade music. Together with some of the other artists from Reverse, Bjorn has co-produced many memorable parties including SUB_Stantial by Reverse and Walk of Shame. Even though he is heavily involved in the Houston scene, Bjorn still dedicates enough time to find the best music in the world. m.Douglas, short for Mikel Douglas, begins his path towards electronic music in 2005, after discovering the deep and abstract sound of dance music genres like house, tech house, minimal and techno. Shortly after this revelation, Mikel becomes inspired and lucrative in the DJ/producer culture. His sound can be labeled as deep, funky, hypnotic music, very characteristic of the avante-garde minimal, house, and techno labels of Europe and South America. It didn’t take long before m.Douglas gives birth to an entity sustained by atypical music and art expression. The entity is known as "Purominimal”, an artist label showcasing inspirational and talented artists with a deep connection with music and visual art. The Purominimal project has foundation for defining a unique sound and image in the Electronic music community.
