Jim Zub is back to preview Avengers No Surrender the weekly Avengers Event co-written by Mark Waid and Al Ewing. Jim takes us thrugh the process of writing this event. We also discuss his creator owned books Wayward and Glitterbomb. Jim is always willing to share his insight on creating books for Image Comics and how they're doing in the modern comics market which is a bigger world than just the direct market stores. We talk about Jim's creator owned tutorials and his Tumblr account where he takes creator questions and manages to difuse negative insults into positive information on a regular basis. ' Jim's book Glitterbomb has also managed to become even more relevant to today's cultural issues given it's premise of the plight of women in Hollywoood subjected to the real life horrors of sexual abuse. We can't help but discuss the book's ironic timing.

Frank Frazetta died in 2010. he fantasy artist left a body of work in comics bookcovers film posters and paintings that modern fantasy artists continue to emulate and get inspirations. The Frazetta Museum has reopened and is in the midst of a kickstarter campaign to raise funds, in addition to great products at their website Fisrt Moises Chiullan joins us to explain the amazing new limited edition silk screen t-shirts they're selling based on 4 classic Frazetta paintings, and the painstaking process to recreate the texture of the originals. Then a great chat with Frank Jr telling great stories about his father's works process and legacy.
Great to have Sarah back. Lots of terrific IDW trek comics are happening now. The Star Trek Boldy Go series set in the JJ Abrahms film universe started a new multi universe story called IDIC. She also previews the Discovery prequel series focusing on T'Kuvma and The Kingon Deathship crew cominng later this month, and more. Plus we cant help talking about the new streaming series, with the fall hiatus starting next week. Good thing there's plenty of quality IDW trek comics to get us to the Jan half of the season.
