Paul Dini joins us just in time to talk about the new definitive collection of his Jingle Belle stories from IDW "Jingle Belle The Full Package" Paul has written a lot of the new Justice League Action cartoons and we talk about some of his favorite stories coming up, and of course compare those to some of his past animation work on the Batman animated series and Justice League series. Dini has written the Harley Quinn wrap around story for DC Rebirth's Holiday special, and we look back at other classic comic book xmas stories including one he wrote for Detective comics with Don Kramer featuring Tim Drake (Robin)  being captured by The Joker on Xmas eve .

Great to welcome Drew Freidman back to talk about his new collection of portraits of Golden Age Comic Creators called More Heroes Of The Comics from Fantagraphics. Volume 2 digs deeper in the history of comic books with more obscure names and interesting faces that populated the comic book studios of the 40s and 50s.  Drew shares many stories of these creators and his own comic book& celeb encounters from meeting Groucho Marx to working for Stan Lee . We talk about the evolution of his art from his stipple days at Heavy Metal and National Lampoon to his current style.  We also talk about a kickstarter project to make a documentary about Friedman's art and passion for forgotten pop culture.
