We try to shake our budding obsession with a certain craft activity by making wildly speculative predictions for the coming Guild Wars 2 heavy new year. Chris’ Predictions LAST - 9th Profession Annouced - Basket Weaver Release in early Fall 2012 (Post PAX) A strong RP component will be added to the game - similar to the LOTRO Music System. Perhaps a storytelling system, allowing small sprite to be summoned to enhance a story being told. PvP will include an Arena Style system, with ranked small group matches. Arenanet will drop the system that has players loosing levels when they return to low level zones. There will be NO rep grinds in GW2. GW Prediction - Number of active players will not drop significantly after the launch of GW2.   Celeste’s Predictions Release - Dec 2012 RP - sharing journals with other players so that you can quick swap character bios while in-game with your rp friends/guildies. PvP - gvg makes a comeback (popular demand) and is then removed due to conflict of interest while belonging to 10 different guilds How many times gw2 will be named most anticipated game of the year? 39. On the shoulders of skyrim, gw2 will add dragon shouts and a ranger skill called arrow to the knee which will automatically down any other character. While trying to steal swtor players, they'll add in a lore breaking minigame where you can fly a millenium falcon. With Chewbacca. And asurans dressed like ewoks. I am playing GW1 again after buying it when it first came out but I never even finished the Prophecy campaign.   I made a WaMo back when everyone was doing it and I recently bought Eye of the North because I am interested seeing the lore in preparation for GW2. I really do not care for messing around with builds, I just want to finish the lore missions without dying and dragging out my limited gameplay time.   I got some Mercenary Heroes in the hope they would help but they are just as bad in the need to research builds. Unfortunately Mercenary Heroes are only able to use skills that you have unlocked with your account, the same as regular heroes. The builds on PVX Wiki all seem to assume that you have every expansion and use skills from Nightfall and Factions.   What suggestions would Celeste have for someone with only Prophecies and who hasn't finsihed EotN?   Someone who simply wants to see the lore, not wade through GW1 forums of people arguing about how stupid everyone else's builds are and contradicting each other all the time? Celeste suggested in a previous podcast that getting an elite skill can be a foundation but what advice does she have for a warrior who only has Prophecies and EotN and hasn't finished either?   To keep things simple could she perhaps suggest the one Warrior elite she might chose in this instance? - RS Ideally Hundred Blades, but if you want to get started and get through prophecies as well there’s also Warrior’s Endurance (Desert Missions). warrior's endurance, distracting blow or healing signet, dismember, power attack, cyclone axe, protector's strike, Dodge This! Let me give you a quick look into my situation, like Chris, I'm an altoholic. Always have been, always will be. Have played a few mmo's in semi-good mode, never been hardcore/pro, but I've gotten out of the "noob zone" in most games. Now I've started in Guild Wars. Well thats a whole new story to tell. I started out with a warrior (cause thats what everyone suggests) but I didn't really like that. Followed with a Dervish, I liked it alot, but didn't seem to get good with it. You may want to give Dervish another try, the Embark Beach update completely revamped it, so if it's been more than 8ish months, give it a go! Then I tried out a Ranger, just not what I'm looking for. Now this story goes on with almost every profession (except for monk, ele, mesmer and necro). Are you not a caster type or they didn't appeal? Mesmer can be quite rewarding if you're pragmatic enough. Elementalist is always fun if you're a bit of a pyromaniac. Necromancers have a wide variety of skills, you could hex, minion master, blood support, or even heal. The furthest I got is on my ritualist, who is around halfways in factions. Ritualist can get a little slow when you're levelling it, but after you hit 20 and you've got a majority of the skills, there's pretty much nothing to hold you back. If you get bored of running something like an SoS Spammer, you could minion master or heal. For SoS to work efficiently you've got to donate to Kurzick or Luxon to get summon spirits skill. Now to come to the point of this email, What profession do you two enjoy the most? And what profession should be fairly easy to get a fair hall of monuments with? Cause I started GW because I want to have this extra edge when GW 2 comes out (don't we all?). Noticed it in Itunes and I hope you guys keep going, at least until GW2 is out. I rated the show 5 stars so hope that helps. I have 3 questions for you guys: -           In the hall of monuments calculator, there are only rewards showing up until point 30/50 which includes the black widow spider. After that, it only shows the titles every 5 levels.Is it worth going to 50/50 or wil that cost an insane amount of time? My nickname ingame is The Gigedi, you can check my progress in the calculator ;) 26/50 atm.  I got 1000+ hours on it and thanks to this podcast I am inclined to play again. At the end of the show, you always say: hope to see you ingame. I would be happy to join ingame and do some quests, points gathering together. The timeframe might be a little harder but yeah (From Belgium). Is there a reason you guys do not share ingame names of guildwars? If not, you could post it in the info. Also, and I think this is handy for a lot of GW players=> Glints challenge. It is a survival style instance/dungeon that gives you a Cloth of the Brotherhood everytime you beat it. If you get a good group you can farm up to 9 cloths (more if wanted) and upgrade about ALL of you EotN heroes for your hall(easy points for GW2). Do you guys have a good resource of some sort of guide on this? Anyways, great job keeping up the show with fun news and new links to cool sites.
