James:             Victoria, what I thought would be interesting for our listeners is little bit of an update on Facebook. We’ve had some very popular episodes with our other good friend Jennifer Sheahan. We had two Facebook episodes. They’re two of the most highly listened to episodes that I’ve put on Internet Marketing Speed, so there’s obviously a big requirement for us to understand Facebook as part of our marketing. It’s covered in my Own The Race Course training and in my Traffic Grab training and it’s something that I think should be a cornerstone traffic source for most businesses. So, what I’m really interested in is for us to talk about what’s new, what’s interesting with Facebook and also,

Tim: Hey what’s up James! James: Well I’m still travelling at the moment Tim and we’re recording from Paris today and I imagine you're probably in Phoenix? Tim: Yes I’m just on the North side of Phoenix, a little out on the desert. James: Are you sitting in your cupboard today? Tim: Yeah, yes I am in my studio that I’ve converted from my walk-in closet so. James: I think this could be a potential topic for us because I know that when people think about the idea of turning content into cash they probably have visions of a high expense professional studio equipment and certain things that would be barriers for them to be able to do this, I want to ask you, is this something that they should be concerned about? Tim: No, I think that’s the problem with a lot of people when they go in any kind of business, they focus on non-essentials and not on the things that will create a minimum viable business, so if you're going to. If you want to create a podcast don't go out there and buy mixer and buy all these things unless you are an audio engineer don’t do any of that nonsense. James: So keep it nice and simple. Tim: Yes. James: Okay, now Tim, perhaps you could just give us a very brief background as to how this has become your topic of specialty and that would give us the reference point we need and then we can step into some of the steps that people can follow to make this happen for themselves. Tim: Okay, so I got into doing this podcasting thing called the “Foolish Adventure Show” a couple years ago now and a lot of the questions that kept coming to me and it was a lot of these bloggers who blog about blogging and it was really pissing me off because they were giving business advice without ever knowing anything about how to run a business and a lot of it was about not actually making any money. Don’t worry about making money for one to two years with your blog and say “that’s not business”, that may be a hobby but that’s not a business, and so, it was bugging me that people were spending a couple of years of their lives wasting it on just creating loads and loads of content and never making a buck. And that’s, that’s something that it, it just really just bothered me so I figured out that the best way would be to spin that around and turn that content into cash. James: Right,

How To Build Your Email List Much Faster Using LeadPlayer | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2:53

You want to build your email database faster right? Recently I have been doing a lot of email conversion optimisation elements. I have tested light boxes, exit pops, inline forms and after post prompts. Some of them I still use but not others. The big trade-off was usually customer acceptance of tactics. You dont want to put people off just to squeeze a few extra names. I found one method of collecting leads that seems incredibly well accepted by customers... When you think about it, it makes perfect sense that asking for an email straight after delivering high value content would be optimal. The results are even better when the email capture is directly in the video rather than beside it or nearby. Relevancy is the key. LeadPlayer allows you to have a 'skip this' feature which is more courteous. Also you can place the opt-in request at the end of the video which is quite polite. I have found people will watch short videos all the way to the end. LeadPlayer is software that you install on Wordpress and it allows you to add a call to action and/or email captures to your YouTube video embeds Video is a terrific way to build up your blog and the best part of this is the fact that you dont even have to use your own YouTube videos. I can imagine some people (especially affiliates) would embed YouTube videos and put a lead capture on it and or a call to action with an affiliate link for a relevant product. This could be a wonderful affiliate marketing strategy. In my case I use my own videos to add to my news lists. How easy is LeadPlayer to install? I made a quick demo video showing it being installed on Internet Marketing Speed. It is so easy you have to see for yourself to know: Click Here To Get The LeadPlayer Review and Bonus

Seven Reasons You Should Consider Podcasting In iTunes | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 4:50

Podcasting in itunes is where you place an audio (most common) or audio and video (rarer) show on your blog and then feed it to the Apple controlled iTunes store. We have covered the what, now lets discuss the why with my seven reasons you should be podcasting: Podcasting is very easy to do If you can talk and if you have some basic recording equipment you are almost there. You need to submit your podcast to iTunes once using a free plug-in (I recommend blubrry) and then it will automatically upload every time you publish. Podcasting allows you to reach people on portable devices Portable device usage is increasing. You can also reach people who would not ordinarily read text or watch a video. An astounding number of my listeners report to me they listen whilst walking the dog or in transit. Podcasting allows you to get access to high-level brains When you interview an expert it is great for your audience and also an excellent opportunity for you to learn more about your field of specialty. If you want to learn something new simply locate an expert in that area and invite them to be a guest on your podcast show. Podcasting builds authority Publishing a 'show' builds reputation the same way that publishing a book does. For some magical reason when you have a published show in iTunes people perceive you to be a publisher and will lend more attention to your message. Podcasting is a great medium for making sales In order to increase sales for your own products and services you need to be in front of a wide audience. When you continue to deliver valuable content all the time people appreciate your value and naturally follow your links to products that you recommend. When I survey my community at live events a substantial portion of them first heard about me via a podcast. When people listen to other podcasts in your market or business or category they will see your podcast show up underneath it and it is a great way for them to find out about your podcast. This makes podcasting a very leveraged activity. You can have more than one Podcast I run three podcasts. One of them is a joint venture with Tim Reid called FreedomOcean.com and it is a lighthearted show with expert teaching Novice angles on the topic of Internet Marketing. InternetMarketingSpeed.com is where I place high-level interviews and posts where I will read out my text to make sure that my messages spread across multiple mediums. SuperFastBusiness.com is a great regular podcast because the audio is stripped out from the videos and used as an alternative way for my listeners to access the high-value news tips each few days. The result is I have three different podcasts that reach different audiences and combined downloads of almost 30,000 listens per month. Podcasting is fun When you speak with others on the podcast it is a great opportunity to make a joke and to record a life moments. This is much the same as you experience with your home videos or pictures, you're creating time capsules that you can use over and over again and many new listeners will be introduced to your show in the future with material that you have only done once. In summary Podcasting is an excellent way to create engaging, fun and valuable content for you and your listeners to experience now and in the future across multiple devices in multiple media formats. I consider podcasting essential for my business. Any expert, author, product creator will benefit from an effective podcast. I also cover podcasting traffic strategies in TrafficGrab. Bonus tip Being a guest expert on someone else's podcast is a very good way to get the word out about your own podcast...
