When Guru Nanak was a boy he once took the cows out to graze. He fell asleep and the cows ate all the neighbors crops. When the man found out he told Rai Bular, the village chief, to punish Nanak's father. Everyone went to see the field the cows destroyed. When they got there not only were the plants OK, they were even greener than before. Because Nanak was meditating on God nothing went wrong. read more

One time Guru Gobind Singh told one of his soldiers to climb up a huge tree that was near by. He told him to go up there and look for a Pipal tree. When the Pipal tree was found Guru ji told him that one day the Pipal tree will be even higher that the huge tree above it. "When it gets that high than the Khalsa will flourish in this world." The Pipal tree grows very slow and as it takes over the other tree surely the Khalsa will spread in the kindest of spirits. read more

The emperor Jahangir had heard rumors of Guru Hargobind and decided to pay him a visit. He found the Guru to be wise, friendly and brave. Once they were hunting together and a tiger jumped out to attack the emperor. All of his royal soldiers were afraid and didn't do anything.
