The American Dahlia Society (ADS) was founded in 1915 and is composed of over 70 independent local societies in the US and Canada. Sulfoxaflor is a systemic pesticide from the sulfamine family which is used primarily on number of major crops, including cotton, soybean, citrus, pome/stone fruit, nuts, grapes, potatoes, vegetables and strawberries. It has been the subject of a major controversy because of its impact on bee health. Regardless of the overwhelming public concern, sulfoxaflor was granted registration in 2013. Now, after a long, two-year battle, EPA must vacate the registration for this pesticide.
