Kris gives his thoughts and impressions of the documentary Sweet Adversity he attended last week. The film centers on the life of actress Marsha Hunt who was famously blacklisted from Hollywood for daring to defend her industry friends while they were being run by congress as Russian sympathizers. John relates the sentiment for such Washington hysteria to the driving forces behind the #Walkaway movement. This transitions into a talk about how absurd it is for people to hate the person so much, that they hope the President fails on behalf of America. We all know the horrible, dark and evil things America has done over its history, but for all Trumps sins (and there are a ton of them) are we really suppose to believe he is the worst or most evil person that has ever occupied the oval office, or did the more evil ones have better manners?  No matter how evil or bad someone is, no one is all evil or all good. Each action a person makes stands on its own weight without cleansing, endorsing or forgetting the sins of the past. How does any reasonably educated person not recognize the absurdity of racism? Kris explains how politics has devolved to sports fan guys who can’t be honest about his hometown team without thinking it makes you a fair weather fan. When people sit around and wait for established Hollywood to accept and approve of you to consider yourself successful, they already control you. Breaking down a predatory loan in detail Kris gives John an update on the car situation and the options for getting out of a predatory loan. As Gratwick Productions grows there are opportunities to go around, some will be small, some will be big. Kris explains why there is never a bad opportunity to be offered, even the free ones. It was a wild week at Gratwick Productions with road trips, breakdowns, meetings and firings. John has a beef with the rising homeless population he needs to get off his chest before Kris dives into a busy week for the company. Kris’s Mom was in town this week and she wasted no time dropping some bombs from the family closet. Instead of drinking wine in the Canyon all weekend Kris took his Mom and Andrea to Santa Barbara for some wine tasting. At the same time Kris was dealing with unexpected staff turnover. Sunday Gratwick Productions held a team meeting in Dana Point that went well until the journey home turned into an odyssey when the car broke down. This week Game Designer and Filmmaker JRod Gingerich joins us from a Starbucks. He is now gearing up to shoot his first web series ‘Agent G100′ starting Sunday at Kris’ house. A deep conversation ensues when Kris declares that discrepancy in grading is the greatest crime in America. John has some strong feelings about the Father’s Day peacocking everyone did on facebook. Recently cast in Just Drive, actor Dominique Morton joins Gratcast. Joe is about to become an Uncle. John is literally hitting the pavement looking for his new job. The 1996 NTHS class wants Kris to help with a class reunion documentary. Section 2 is all about Dominique Morton, his acting career, his football background, his supportive parents and their extremely unique decision that helped make his dream possible. Dominique is also an entrepreneur working on his own clothing line TNHW Apparel, and helping design the t-shirts for Just Drive. John drops the bombshell that he won’t be returning to his old job and the future is wide open for him. Joe had the awkward experience of running face to face into someone he matched with on Tinder and the best he could come up with was to burst how in public “hey we matched on Tinder.” In our second segment Kris catches us up on all the casting announcements for Just Drive and the latest innovative content from Social Filmmaking.
