The guys hit the best of the worst, the worst of the best and all parts in-between, with disappointments starring Goldberg, Robert DeNiro, Kevin Costner, chainsaws, Stephen King books, superheroes and so much more.  Episode 303 - Overstuffed Movie Delights | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

You'd think that with discussing long movies, Dave, Mikey & Pinky would make it a long episode. Ironically, it only takes them an hour to tell you about their favorite movies that clock in at 150 minutes or more. And what discussion about being long winded would be complete without the long winded Film Historian himself, the Wit Stillman fan, the Brie Lover (Allison, Larsen & the cheese), the Terrance Malick Apologist and winner of the Nobel Prize for Proctology, Dr Earl. Kicking off the episode, Birthday Movies reminds you of the fabulous films that came out in previous Novembers like Fred Claus (2007) and Starship Troopers (1997) and Piranha II (1982) and of course Dave's 50th favorite film of all time, The Bodyguard! Plus, a great reminder of Dr Earl's official diagnosis concerning the death of Whitney Houston. Then, a rousing game of Denzel, with names like Harrison Ford and Martin Starr and Sam Waterston and of course, Denzel Washington! Then, the Top Five takes on "overstuffed" movies, as in, those movies running 2 and a half hours or longer.  The crew gives movies ranging from 153 minutes to a whopping 295 minutes... and if you watched all 20 of these films straight in a row, you'd be watching for almost 65 straight hours. Overstuffed films like Magnolia... Heat... Short Cuts... a Lord of the Rings film... JFK... and if you've ever wondered what is the most Inuit movie ever made, please pull up a sitting room chair to Dr. Earl's pretentious corner. Also, Mikey's Wyatt Earp loses again to Dave's Tombstone. And finally, America's favorite movie podcast segment featuring the musical stylings of OMD... Pretty in Pink!

 Episode 302: ReFlicktions Ragnarok 2049 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

Who is Marilyn Hotchkiss?... being Baumbachian... the wonder Spielberg... Kathy Najimi talk... light and fluffy Reese... the new Halloween film... The guys list their top five of the year (so far) and finally, movie assignments... what awesome movies does Dave assign Pinky & Mikey, and what deplorable crap will Mikey have for Dave & Pinky? A rousing round of Chronology occurs, with categories like "Saving Private Ryan Ryan Ryan Ryan", "You Can Do EEET" and "AB-Solutely Fabulous".  Pinky dominates this game... can he keep it up? The topic on this episode all revolves around one of the major food groups -- coffee.  Coffee scenes in movies, to be exact.  Scenes from "You've Got Mail" and "Airplane" and "Glengarry Glen Ross" and more... and Dave's spot-off impersonation of Jimmy in "Pulp Fiction" Then, the guys pay off MikeTober, where Mikey takes on the horror movies assigned and seen this past few weeks, with Carrie, Phantasm and more. When Remodeling Clay finally gets on the line, the gang plays an old school game of "Reel or Unreel", aka, "Faux or Show".  Plus an update on Clay's favorite films and a few documentary recommendations that we all have to see. The Retrozap dot com Podcasting Network Podfather Retro Joe then comes on to discuss some of his favorite films, including Army of Darkness, Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure, and Ghostbusters.  Plus a discussion on Patriots Day, which took place around Joe's neck of the woods.  And with Retro Joe, a great round of Box Office Mojo on "Third Films in a Series". To wrap up the Cavalcade of Stars, Jennifer Kaufman brings up some of her favorites she's seen this year, with Spotlight, A Fish Called Wanda and more. Pinky then riffs on an assigned film, "Audition", one of those "Most disturbing movies ever made!"  More crap on Superman III and then, a throwback to an early sponsor of the show, Real Men of Genius. To you, the listener and film fan, thanks so much for downloading, listening, and being a fan!
