GSRT Live Forum Main Topic: Divorce: How normal is this new normal that we're living today? And how is it different from the previous normal? GSRT Member Question: I am 48 and I am often told I look 10-15 years younger, with that said I have an age limit for the men I date and it is 12 years either way. Is it just me? Now I am at the point of asking men up front! Am I wrong for that? One guy even had the nerve to lie! GSRT Live Forum If you're jealous does that mean you care?   GSRT Member Question: I'm married and we have a 4mo old. I'm going back to work when she's 6 mos. I make double the money my husband does and I proposed that he stay at home w/our daughter and I can continue to work. I think it's a better option than daycare.   He was offended and said as a man he needs to earn a living. I said if I make twice as much as you, wouldn't it benefit our daughter to have a parent home with her if we can afford it? If we're married, what does it matter who makes the money as long as we work as a team?   What do you think? GSRT Member Question: My grandmother has had Alzheimer’s for a couple of years and has gotten to a point where she no longer recognizes anyone. We know her time is short and I made the decision that I’m not going to the nursing home any longer because it’s just too hard. GSRT Live Forum With so much scrutiny surrounding marriage, the cheating, the high divorce rates, the reluctancy of people to commit or remain committed, as well as the numerous people who choose to remain single, is marriage still relevant? There are an increasing number of people who have chosen to remain in long term relationships (5 yrs or more) but for some reason or another choose not get married. Is this more evidence that societies values on  marriage have shifted? GSRT Member Question I’m 36 and have been living with my man for 2 years. He’s turning 40 this year and is divorced w/two teenagers he shares custody of. He has asked me to marry him more than once and I turned him down. Here’s the thing – I don’t have a desire to be married –I never have - to me it’s a piece of paper you don’t need if you have a real commitment anyway. I have felt this way my entire life even though my parents have been married for 40 years. My parents never understood my position; my sisters think I’m just anti marriage, but outside of legal issues (a will, property, if you have kids, etc.) I don’t see the point. I can spend the rest of my life with this man I love and never marry him. He is basically giving me an ultimatum – commit to marrying him, or he wants out. What is so wrong with my position? And I told him all of this when me met, so there my views aren't a surprise. I’m mad he’s trying to change it up when he knew how I felt from the beginning. What are your thoughts? GSRT Live Forum Tonights Topics: What do you do to when the person you are in a relatonship with has unresolved emotional issues with their past relationships? How do you resolve your own baggage so that you don't carry it into another or new relationship?   Can you truthfully have a sucessuful marriage WITHOUT SEX? GSRT Member Question: If I’m single and dating – no commitments – am I obligated to let people know I’m sleeping with more than one person? I’m dating several men and not exclusive with any of them, but I'm sleeping regularly with two of them. They know I see other people, and they do the same. Let me say now, we always, always use condoms – safe sex all the way, no exceptions. My sister says I should tell them I’m sleeping with both of them, but to me if I’ve already said single and dating and we aren’t monogamous why do I need to say anything? I’m also having safe sex so I’m not putting anybody at risk. Is it really necessary to have that convo?
