Don't Quit Too Soon: The Power of Pushing Through "The Dip (Seth Godin)" When Building Your Online Business [LNIM246] | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 872

Hey there, it's Mark Mason, your host for the Late Night Internet Marketing Podcast. Today, I want to talk about something that I see happening way too often in the world of online business: quitting too soon. This is the most common failure mode that I see when people try to start an online business. I've been discussing this for years, but I want to approach it from a different angle today. I want to talk about a book called "The Dip" by Seth Godin. "The Dip" was published back in 2007, but I recently revisited it thanks to my friend Aiden Booth. This book provides valuable insights into why people quit too soon and how to recognize when you're in a dip that's worth pushing through. The dip is the point where things get tough, and it's the moment when most people quit. But if you push through the dip, you'll reach the other side, where the magic happens. I see so many people get excited about online business opportunities because of some sales pitch that promises riches with just a click of a button. However, once they start doing the work, things don't go exactly as planned, and they start encountering real-life business challenges. This is when people start to get discouraged and quit before they even reach the dip. In "The Dip," Seth Godin argues that there are two choices when you get into a dip: quit and cut your losses or recognize the dip for what it is and push through. He also talks about strategic quitting, where you should accept the dip and quit to work on something more important. But I think the most crucial point is recognizing when you're in a dip worth pushing through. I've seen so many people quit right before the magic happens. They quit just because they encounter resistance or things aren't going as smoothly as they expected. But the truth is, building a successful online business takes time and effort. You can't expect success overnight. You need to push through the dip and keep going until you reach the other side. I encourage you not to be one of those people who quit too soon. Don't jump from one program to another, always looking for the next big thing. Instead, recognize that the dip is part of the process and push through it. If you're committed to building a successful online business, you need to be patient and keep going, even when things get tough. If you've ever experienced a dip in your online business journey but pushed through it and came out on the other side, I'd love to hear from you. Shoot me an email at feedback@latenightim.com, and maybe we can get you on the show to talk about your success story. Remember, building a successful online business is a marathon, not a sprint. Don't give up too soon, and keep pushing through the dip until you reach the other side.

KPI: The Secret To Achieving Your 2023 Goals LNIM243 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1366

Today we will be discussing the concept of Key Performance Indices (KPIs) and their importance in measuring success. A KPI is essentially a measurable value that shows the progress towards a specific goal. For instance, weight is a common KPI for many people. However, the challenge with this type of KPI is that it is a lagging indicator, meaning it only tells us what has already happened, not what is going to happen. In a business setting, it is more valuable to use leading indicators, which are KPIs that predict future outcomes, in order to make adjustments and achieve our goals. For example, as a solo entrepreneur, we may be most concerned with the amount of money our business makes, whether it be revenue or profit. However, once January is over and we know how much money we made, it is too late to make adjustments to achieve our goal of growing our business in 2023. That's why we need to be measuring things that are related to actually achieving the goal, not only measuring whether or not we achieved the goal after the fact. One example of a leading indicator in a business setting could be using affiliate marketing as a way to predict and potentially achieve a goal. By closely monitoring the progress and success of our affiliate marketing efforts, we can make informed decisions on how to adjust and improve in order to reach our desired outcome. In conclusion, leading indicators are crucial for predicting and achieving business goals. We hope you found this information valuable, and encourage you to look into more resources on KPIs and leading indicators to take your business to the next level.

 123 Profit CPA Marketing Opportunity (Time Sensitive) - LNIM241 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 801

Hey there, it's Mark Mason. I wanted to make a quick announcement about a product that I've been getting a lot of questions about. It's called "123 Profit" and it's something that I'll be using myself in 2023 as a new stream of revenue or side hustle. I thought it would be a good idea to let others in on it as well, but unfortunately, the cart for the product is closing on January 19th at midnight and it won't open again until next year at the earliest. This product is based on cost per action affiliate marketing, where the goal is to spend a dollar on advertising and make at least a dollar in return. The "123 Profit" model also allows for capturing email addresses and marketing other offers to the email list, building it for free and scaling the business. I've been involved in CPA marketing since 2009, and I've used a precursor program called "Project Thunderbolt" in the past. If you're interested in learning more, you can visit the website at get123profit.com. Keep in mind that this episode of the podcast may be deleted from the feed after January 19th, 2023, so make sure to check it out before then.
