 A Rapidly Changing World! | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 3606

With this terrible global pandemic now hitting almost every country on earth I chatted with Terry Whitehead to discover how he has been coping. We use the word 'lockdown' but it is more a question of authorities making us change our ways. We looked at the situation here in Spàin with aspects to the fore including how the religious festivals have been affected. Needless to say we looked at how it appears locally as most of the Madrid and Barcelona news coverage has instigated a lot of our worries. The UK has a different approach and Terry outlined why he felt this was sensible. We also tried to tease out any positives that might come from current suffering. It is pretty obvious that the economic picture will be very different in the foreseeable future and wish everyone well. Our heartfelt appreciation goes out to all the medical staff everywhere and many others who are trying to keep us all fed and safe including the shopworkers and delivery drivers and cleaners everywhere. Stay safe, everyone, wherever you might be.

 CoronaVirus Lockdown! | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2015

With the coronavirus flooding the news every day we have a new word which is utilised by every newspresenter..."Lockdown"...which I always thought applied to prisons and American movies.....what is wrong with "quarantine" or is that too English?....we are being infiltrated with Americanisms such as "go figure"..."24/7"...."high 5"....and worst of all "MOM"....it's MUM!!!....this is England not Dodge City....it's bad enough having to listen to the misuse of our language by third rate soap stars who replace "TH" with "F"....anyway I Fink that's enough of that.

What Can We Really Believe? | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2006

The media are still trying to scare everyone announcing more numbers each day of those contacting the corona virus...what we are not told is how many have actually recovered....and this has caused our nation of sheep to panic buy toilet rolls and hand sanitisers ... in case we all have to lock ourselves in our houses....there have been THREE fatalities where the people involved sadly had health problems beforehand...and 300 of us have contacted the disease.......so the other 68 million of us must hope for the best....then we have entries on Facebook telling us that people are buying hand sanitisers for 99p and selling them on Ebay for £14....which is probably a load of nonsense....and not forgetting the rugby players who mustn't shake hands....then squash together in the scrum with their heads in between each others legs....it would be funny if it wasn't so tragic.

 CoronaVirus and China's Economic Links | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 3717

With a month and a half to go before the Easter break, which traditionally represents a peak in visitors and expenditure, there has so far been little change to tourist flows to the Canary Islands despite four confirmed cases of the coronavirus and a hotel in lockdown in Adeje, on Tenerife island. Police could ignore low-level crime and troops could be deployed on the streets as part of the government's dramatic 'battle plan' if coronavirus takes hold in the UK. Patients not suffering from the disease could also be sent home from hospital, and local authorities will be helped with the 'challenge' of dealing with increasing numbers of deaths among the elderly and vulnerable.

 Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch" | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2230

The corona virus has dominated the news.....we now have 40 cases in this country and we are being told to "self isolate" if we don't feel well....especially if we have just come back from Italy or China.....so the media have done their job by creating a panic.. Harry and Meghan are back in the news concerning the cost of their security....our taxpayers are up in arms about the amount they are subscribing to in order to keep the happy couple safe... I enjoy watching Dancing on Ice...it's easy viewing and well presented...but what I don't get is why Holly Willoughby has to wear a dress which only covers two thirds of her body with most of her boobs on display... ....I remember back in the 60s when my band played the usual gigs along with all the other bands at the time and as the decade came to an end the discos took over and that was that .. As it was St.David's day last week I feel it is time once more to listen to my classic tribute to a little railway station with the longest name in the world .............all together now "How To Say Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch"

Spain’s state-owned rail company Renfe has won a $6 billion (€5.56 billion) contract to operate a high-speed train line between the cities of Dallas and Houston in the United States – the biggest contract ever secured by a Spanish public company outside of Spain, according to a press release issued by the firm on Wednesday. …. THE Alicante High Court confirmed a 21-month sentence for a Benidorm man who claimed €10,800 for a fictitious work-related accident. He reported the supposed accident six days after registering with Spain’s Social Security scheme and received temporary incapacity benefit for six months. IT is within living memory that the Bishop of Gibraltar had so much sway and the Catholic Church was so strong that it was able to persuade the then government to ban the import of magazines such as Playboy onto the Rock.

 Two of Tyson Fury's Fans! | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2182

Tyson Fury has delighted us all by winning back his boxing belts...the guy is an inspiration to us all...and as I have always said it's winners we want if sport is to survive. The Ryan Air boss has caused a bit of controversy by saying Muslims travelling alone should be subjected to more airport security checks than other travellers because they have become the biggest threat...........I appreciate that people have a right to an opinion but what I fail to see is why it is RACIST?. ...so here it is...the first of many...
