In September 2010, GALLERY CRAWL headed south to interview Steve Dietz, curator of the 2010 01SJ BIENNIAL. Artists from around the globe were commissioned to create new, interactive works of art using the phrase "Build Your Own World" as an inspirational theme.

In September 2010, GALLERY CRAWL interviewed artist Kate Nichols about her work using nanotechnology to create "structural color" for her artwork. We visited Nichols at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, where she is the first artist-in-residence.

The robust collection features emerging artists as well as a wide range of notables, including Robert Rauschenberg, Anselm Kiefer, Andy Goldsworthy, and Francis Bacon.
