Paul Hoffman, Assistant Vice President at Fresno State University, is a highly experienced university executive who has first-hand experience in setting up and managing ESL programs. He discusses with Michael Waxman-Lenz the advantages and disadvantages of internal versus third party ESL programs. What are the key elements to prioritize and choose the appropriate solution for your university? The factors discussed range from the investment needs, academic control and recruiting operation. Paul Hoffman describes the success of managing ESL programs and how these programs can contribute and further enhance international student enrollment. Furthermore, he describes conditional admissions for ESL students as a widespread accepted trend.
