How to send large files? That’s the question behind a new project of mine called SendLargeFiles.org.

As podcasters and videocasters we need to move large files around all the time. RSS works fine for the subscription model, but what if we want to send the files proactively. What do we do when we need to share them for editing?

We want it to be easy, fast, reliable and secure. We want the recipient to have the same kind of experience.

The solution for sending large files needs to fit our needs. Some of us just need a single user solution, others will need a multi-user solution with many more features.

In the coming weeks we will dive in and find out what works and what doesn’t at SendLargeFiles.org.

I have already found some solutions from Google. Some are business focused and others are consumer focused. You can see the list over at the Send Large Files site and if you have other services I should try let me know and I will add them to the list.
