Podango, an angel investor funding podcasting company, made a big splash at the Podcast Expo by holding an “unconference” at the conference.  The sessions were well attended and it added a great feeling to the exhibit floor.

Podango is creating what they call podcast stations.  Each station has a station director and is focused on a specific topic area.  The station director then recruits podcasts within that topic area to pool their podcasts and produce a podcast station.  Podango helps by providing the infrastructure to host and manage the station.

The business model is advertising funded with Podango spliting the ad revenue with the station and then the station sharing the ad money with the podcasters.

This seems like a good idea if you want to start your own podcasting network.
