iPods, Beer and Facebook – Today’s Colleges at Work

by Alex Nesbitt

Associated Press and USA Today are reporting that a recemt survey of college students, at more than 100 colleges, found that 73% of students said iPods were the “in” thing. This is up from 59% a year ago. Drinking beer and Facebook.com were tied for second at 71%. According to these reports, this is only the second time beer has finished second. The last time beer finished second was 1997 and it lost out to the internet.  You have to wonder what happened having sex?

According to the reports the survey was performed by Student Monitor.

Looking at Student Monitor’s website, cell phones were the leading “in” thing for a while so someone has some facts wrong. Seems like someone needs to do some fact checking or fixing their website.
