CCPublisher is no longer required. You can go to http://www.archive.org/contribute.php and upload directly to the archive - you will need to register as a user, but it is free.

Thanks guys. It's nice to see someone taking the time to help others out without profit being their driving force. Keep it up! Your guide is really clear.

So there is another way to get your mp3 or video file into a podcast feed - just use PodServe. You upload your file to the site, enter some basic information and PodServe will do the rest. If you don't want to bother with finding a microphone to record your podcast you can use PodServe's podcall feature and the system will call you to record your podcast. Check it out (it is 100% free): http://www.pod-serve.com

Clearly explained! Minor correction: The Internet Archive upload link you have provided, to stage=upload_info, is obsolete. Best go directly to their Contributions page, http://www.archive.org/contribute.php and thence to their new system link, http://www.archive.org/create/ . Also it's worth noting that the "service" is actually a library, and one's podcasts become part of IA's Audio collection holdings.
