Digital Podcast Features Let Bill Buy It and Fresh Look On Life

by Alex Nesbitt

Here at KUTV we have taken two of our best and most popular features and made them available to the whole world through podcasting. Just because these are too good to keep only in Utah.

In “Let Bill Buy It” Bill Gephardt takes new gadgets, wild inventions and ordinary consumer products and tests them to see if they live up to their claims. The fun part is finding ways to test them.

in the “Fresh Look On Life” podcast Peter Rosen shares his unique view of tof the world, making the bizarre seem ordinary and the mundane seem unique. Peter is a great story teller, whether its about bigfoot or lake monsters or duct tape or violin makers.

If you like raindrops on roses and bigfoot and walking through car washes you will like our podcasts

We podcast …yep, thats what we do, we podcast.

We podcast from Utah. Really.

We will produce over 104 podcasts this year. Each franchise is produced weekly, with occasional bonus episodes.

Well, I’m the guy who produces the podcasts, and I listen to podcasts (and watch them) mostly on my Mac with iTunes, and sometimes on my video iPod.

To make our podcast, we use Final Cut Pro and iTunes.

By the end of 2006, we think we’ll actually find a way to make money with these things. But only if we get a few more subscribers. Actually the main reason is to promote our news and our website. But perhaps we can get an advertiser to help with the bandwidth costs

Lost in the middle of the Pacific, I would have these three podcasts with me:
My two podcasts and “Tiki Bar TV” which is so well done it should get an emmy! . I say me because I can’t speak for everyone at the station. There are still some people who don’t get it no matter how many times I explain it.
OK, if I can’t have my own podcasts in the list then the other two would be “Bath Tub Yoga” and “Photoshop TV”

If you just search this site for “KUTV” you will find both of these great video podcasts.
