The Digital Podcast Toolbar is a great new tool for navigating around some of the key sites in podcasting. It has a drop down view of all the most recent podcast news, forum updates and new podcasts. You can see more screenshots of the toolbar here.
At PodcastSearchService.com, we have made some big upgrades that allow for inline drill down into podcast details. It provides some of the simplest, yet most effective podcast searching around.
We’ve also made some big upgrades in the Digital Podcast Directory to simplify things and add more images to each of the podcast detail pages.
These improvements are driven by our relentless drive to improve the offering for the fast growing podcast audience as evidenced by Feedburner and Libsyn reports this past week.
To wrap up this cast, I focus on some ways to make the most of your podcast feed.
- Use those tags, too many get underutilized
- Make sure you get your feed validated
- Use MyYahoo, Google Home pages and MyMsn to spread the word about your podcast
- Get stats, from players like Feedburner, but keep a simple podcast URL like www.digitalpodcast.com/podcastfeed – just listen to find out how
