I’ve been using MailChimp for my email newsletter for quite some time. However, there is a great deal of additional functionality built into AWeber that I discuss in this podcast episode. Beyond the better auto-responders, opt-in forms, and other advanced features, I am very delighted that AWeber also has an affiliate program. If you sign up using my affiliate link, I earn a commission, which is a nice added bonus. Taking Live Calls With Skype Corey called in a question about putting call ins on a queue during a live show. Also, he mentioned that he tends to get an echo when he connects more than one Skype caller in a conference when using his Mac. As for queuing up callers, I recommend dialing into a conference calling service that has this feature built in. You call the conference bridge and give out the number to your callers. Most of these services have a moderation panel for you to mute and unmute people as you go along. In the episode, I share how I personally take live callers during my show when I want to bring them in via Skype. As for the Skype echo on a Mac, I have not run into this before and it would appear to be a unique issue that Corey is having. If unable to resolve it, he could bring in a second computer with Skype into the mixer. Can You Create A Podcast Using GoToMeeting? Randy called to ask if someone could use their GoToMeeting subscription to record a podcast with as many as eight people in it. I give my answer in the podcast. Why Do You Promote Both A Web Host And Media Host? Ed called in to ask why I promote both a web host, like BlueHost or ServInt, as well as a media host like Libsyn. I have a video that explains this at http://podcastanswerman.com/podcasting101. However, after the class had already been completed, she dug into the course materials and had launched her own website and has successfully released her first podcast episode at http://myintercontinentallife.com.
