216 Podcast Answer Man – Would Someone Really Listen To All 500 Episodes of Your Podcast?

The Cliff Ravenscraft Show - Mindset Answer Man show

Summary: Will Someone Really Listen To 500 Episodes of Your Podcast? I recently recorded the 500th episode of my Pursuing A Balanced Life Podcast. Wondering if anyone had listened to all five hundred episode, I asked those who had listened to every episode to please let me know. To my surprise, four people contacted me to let me know that they have, indeed, listened to every episode. I include the audio feedback that I received from Maggie Mack, Anne-Sophie Reinhardt, and Wayne Henderson. My great friend, Richard Emblem, wrote me an email to share that he has listened to every episode as well. While not everyone has listened to all 500 episodes, there are a few hundred people who have listened to more than half of the content that I put out in the Pursuing A Balanced Life Podcast. In this episode, I share my thoughts on why I feel so many people have taken such an interest in a podcast that is very general in nature and has the least amount of production value. Griffin iMic USB Sound Card Question: Jason Pyles recently purchased Podcast Answer Man Package #5 from my equipment page. He had a question about hooking up two different Griffin iMic USB Sound Cards to his Mac computer. He wants to know how he can selectively choose which sound card each software program will use. I explain the question in more detail in the episode as well as give my answer of how to accomplish this. Thoughts On Recording Into An IPod With iRig Mic Bill called in to ask if I had any experience with the IK Multimedia iRig microphone for recording audio into an iPod Touch. Of course I share my thoughts on recording into software in general and ask if anyone out there has some experience with this mic to please leave some feedback in the comments section to this post. Blog Post About My Switch From MailChimp To AWeber I mentioned that I was switching my mailing list provider from MailChimp to AWeber in episode 215 of Podcast Answer Man. Many people have been asking me why I am going through all the trouble to make this change. Some folks are also wondering why I feel that my mailing list is so important. I actually spent a few hours writing a blog post about this topic. If you are interested, you can read the post at http://PodcastAnswerMan.com/aweber. Podcasting A to Z Update: Earlier this year, I had a bold dream to create an online coaching course where I would take twenty students and, over the course of five weeks, teach them all how to podcast from scratch. That dream became a reality and showed me just how effective the online group coaching environment can be. Word is spreading about the impact this course has had on the students that have already participated and I'm happy to announce that I have already filled the first four spots for my next Podcasting A to Z course which will begin on Monday, July 11th. I know that many of you have expressed interest in participating in my July course and I'm excited to announce two things that may be of interest to you. First, I'm going to allow up to thirty students to participate this time around. This will be a tremendous benefit to those who will participate in this class as there will be ten more people who are going to be asking questions that you may not have thought to ask yourself. You will benefit from all those additional questions and answers. Second, I'm offering everyone that is on my mailing list a $99 discount on the cost of the course. That brings the cost of the five week course to $800. To take advantage of this discount, please sign up for my mailing list at http://PodcastAnswerMan.com/mailinglist. Once you have received the confirmation that you have been added to the mailing list, send me an email to Cliff@PodcastAnswerMan.com and I will respond with a discount code that you can use. Dan Miller, of http://48days.com, is going to be promoting the July A to Z course to his community starting next week.
