Summary: Recently, I have been going through a number of health issues; mostly due to high blood pressure and the problems it causes, plus a medicine conflict that about shut down my kidneys. This landed me in the hospital for a week, and as a result, I have discovered that I have had a minor stroke. My eyes also were affected, and so goes the existence in these earthly vessels we call bodies. Still, amidst it all, I can see the wonders of God at work! One of those wonders was how He speaks to us through His Spirit, when we are quiet and listen. His gentle voice is amazing at healing our hearts and curing our worries. He is trying so hard to tell us just how much more peace we can have if we only trust HIM. That word: TRUST. Five letters. In scrabble it's only worth 5 points; yet, we seem to cling to it, refusing to let it go when help is at our very doorstep! Luke 12:35-40 “Be dressed in readiness, and keep your lamps lit. 36“Be like men who are waiting for their master when he returns from the wedding feast, so that they may immediately open the door to him when he comes and knocks. 37“Blessed are those slaves whom the master will find on the alert when he comes; truly I say to you, that he will gird himself to serve, and have them recline at the table, and will come up and wait on them. 38“Whether he comes in the second watch, or even in the third, and finds them so, blessed are those slaves. 39“But be sure of this, that if the head of the house had known at what hour the thief was coming, he would not have allowed his house to be broken into. 40“You too, be ready; for the Son of Man is coming at an hour that you do not expect.” In trusting God, we are to be ready to stay fast amid the turmoil and troubles, Satan will try to sway you from the path, and discourage you from fulfilling the ministry that has been appointed you. I know I will see Jesus, either when He comes or when He calls me to HIM, and that is what matters most to me.
