Families With Faith is honored to have the humble and gracious community activist, Sis Judy Tyree, of Petersburg, VA as this week’s special guest host. Mrs. Tyree is an active and accomplished leader in her community. She is the Branch Office Coordinator for the Tri-Cities branch office of the Alzheimer’s Association where she provides information and training for both family and professional caregivers on issues related to Alzheimer’s disease and dementia. She is the current 1st Vice President of the Colonial Heights Chamber of Commerce and Chair of the Crater Caregivers Coalition. She also serves as a member of the Advisory Council for the Crater District Area Agency on Aging. In 1994, the same year her daughter entered college, Mrs. Tyree, then a single parent, returned to college after 20 years to complete her Bachelors in Business Administration. In 2001, she received her Masters Degree in Business Administration. Mrs. Tyree graduated with latin honors, magna cum laude, from both degree programs.
