CWD is a disease is always fatal in deer, similar to mad cow, and Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease in humans. Not only does CWD pose a threat to deer, elk, and moose, and it potentially poses a threat to human health, but as it effects hunting, it will have an indirect threat to our 2A. The 2A is certainly not about hunting, but hunting is, for many young people, their first time where they exercise their Right To Keep and Bear Arms. The North American CWD Project is dedicated to finding a cure for CWD. For decades conventional wisdom was that CWD was caused by a prion or a "mis-folded protein".
