Summary: Reed Richard is the Conductor of Orchestra Farm, a regenerative experiment in social horticulture. Orchestra Farm is in its fourth year of cultivation. Nestled in the Salish Sea within the southern gulf islands of BC, Reed is enjoying being a father in a growing family. As a polymath Reed enjoys a wide range of overlapping interests from dancing, painting and mixed media crafts, musician, author, and cultural critic & co-creator. Reed in one of his Gardens. Reed has traveled through much of North America, with a bicycle and trailer. and lived in Hawai’i exploring a radical approach to life. Utilizing arts to explore notions of freedom and connection to nature, along with opening to the awareness of the vast array of life that is ever pulsing around and inside of us, and learning to to build resilient communities of microbiomes. Reed is an avid amateur with regards to ecotherapy, & panpsychology, providing ecotourists with a meditative hands on encounter with Orchestra Farm. He joins us today to discuss the biophilic philosophy of life, meaning that humans innately seek a connection to nature and other forms of life.
