Rootz|Live! | Blog Talk Radio Feed show

Summary: Well, it didn't take long for AOSP to find its way to Samsung's newest Galaxy S flagship. Before the Galaxy S III has even reached North America, Cyanogenmod 9 and AOKP have already found their way to the root community, courtesy of Team Hacksung and Rootzwiki member netchip. Both ROMs use Team Hacksung's device tree, which currently has the following issues: FM radio is not working (when's the last time you used FM radio on your phone?). Camera flash is acting wonky, but the camera evidently works just fine without the flash. LED notifications are inactive when the phone is being charged. Please follow the installation instructions carefully for installing these two ROMs on your Galaxy S III devices, especially since the root, the custom recovery (an unofficial version of Clockwork Recovery), and the device tree are all very new. http://goo.gl/oKp1G In the usual Google fashion of celebrating things that you didnt think needed celebrating, summer means discounts. Discounts on apps in Google Play, that is. Googles "Longest Day of the Year" discount day is a great way to cash in on some new apps and games that you might have been holding out for, due to price. The sale is a one day event, but hey, its the longest day, so you have extra time, right? http://goo.gl/jg6jb Thanks to Swappa for sponsoring today's podcast, check them out at www.swappa.com for the very best way to buy or sell gently used Android devices. They are also doing a tweet to win contest for a Kindle Fire! There's instructions on the front page of swappa.com, take a few seconds to get your entry in!
