Heather Warnken is a Visiting Fellow at the US Department of Justice, co-affiliated with the Office for Victims of Crime and the Bureau of Justice Statistics. Her position is designed to bridge the gap between research and practice for the victim assistance field, and she has worked in the Victim Services Statistical Research Program for four years. Jennifer O’Brien is a Senior Study Director for Westat, a professional services company that contracts with various federal agencies to provide data collection services. She is also one of the Project Directors for the NSVSP, and has been overseeing large national surveys in a similar vein for 20 years.
