Summary: Many of you may have heard or seen the documentaries, Earthlings and Unity, but you may not know much about the man behind them, Shaun Monson. Shaun is a California native who wanted to be a filmmaker and in 1999 founded the company Nation Earth. (http://www.nationearth.com) The title of the company signifies the intention of his content — projects that bring the world together. He has finished two documentaries of a trilogy. EARTHLINGS is a film for Animals, released in 2005. The definitive animal rights film narrated by three-time Academy Award Nominee Joaquin Phoenix and featuring music by Moby. UNITY, a film for Humankind, released in 2015. The sequel to EARTHLINGS featuring a cast of 100 celebrity narrators. It is a film on the subject of duality, (i.e., why humans can’t get along with each other, the animals, or their environment). Then the final documentary will be BEINGS, a film for Nature, to be released in 2020. This was an incredible conversation that was inspiring, thought provoking and enjoyable!
