Putting the forgotten stories of WWII for the big screen

Federal Drive with Tom Temin show

Summary: At the midpoint of World War II, the ferocious battle of Tarawa cost more than 6,000 lives, many of them US Marines. The battle haunts its few remaining survivors to this day, as do Bataan and Corregidor Island. They bring to mind those missing in action and those left unburied. But filmmaker Steven Barber has spent a career chronicling those veterans who work on behalf of their comrades. He joined Federal Drive with Tom Temin to discuss his work.
