Summary: The collective eyebrows at the National Weather Service shot up when President Trump's 2019 budget request came out. The proposal set out to cut the agency's budget by 8 percent — $75 million — and eliminate nearly 250 forecasting positions. Not surprisingly, that's not going down too well with the National Weather Service Employees Organization.
