Summary: This is a short addendum to the fourth episode and it addresses two points. The first pertains to the response I received from the NH State Police regarding James Renner’s claim that “the police think she was pregnant” on Episode 2 of "The Disappearance of Maura Murrray" series on Oxygen. The second addresses another question I reached out to law enforcement about, which is whether Renner’s claim that Maura was about to be cited for Reckless Operation before she disappeared is true. The short answer to both questions is “No.” These distinctions are very important. Over the years, the sum total of all these instances of little fibs, warped truths, and exaggerated claims (often based on rumors and/or questionable sources) has painted a picture that in no way resembles the truth. I felt that there was no harm in providing some clarification.
