Alec has been instrumental in suing county courts over their cash-bail practices that jailed people simply because they could not afford to pay their fines. Alec's lawsuits have had incredible success in Montgomery, Ferguson, and Houston. Due to his transformational work, Alec was awarded with Public Justice's 2016 Trial Lawyer of the Year award.
