The ACLU has been involved in some of the most controversial events regarding freedom of speech from the Skokie Illinois Nazi March, to the more recent events in Charlottesville Virginia.<br> <br> In both of those cases the ACLU supported the rights of people who had an opinion or message they didn’t agree with. One of the things Reggie points out in the episode is, the ACLU is an organization that stands for all civil rights and sometimes, they have to support people who have beliefs or messages that go against what they as people or even an organization believe.
