Wyrd Ways Rock Show 1st October 2017

The Wyrd Ways Rock Show show

Summary: I will admit that I did have moments of doubting that this edition of The Wyrd Ways Rock Show would ever see the light of day. The inspiration for getting it finished and uploaded was, at least in part, Primordial Radio. It was their launch party in York on 30th September. Going to that event (before crippling social anxiety meant we left early) reminded me why I do this. Rock and Metal is hideously poorly served by the mass media. The stereotypical image of us is that of a knuckle-dragging Neanderthal. We all know that nothing could be further from the truth, but why let the truth get in the way of a good stereotype? Anyway, I’ve been letting the show slip for a while. Tracking back, it probably goes back to when my level of medication was increased. I’m experimenting with dropping it and I seem to have retrieved a little of my drive to do things. I know this probably should have been a blog post, but you who take the time to listen to the show deserve to know what’s going on and why I’ve been so bloody useless at getting these things done over the last couple of years. Incidentally, you can also stream us on Soundcloud, Mixcloud and the TuneIn radio app. Just go to their homepages and search for The Wyrd Ways Rock Show. Same applies if you want to follow us on Facebook, Reverbnation, Twitter or Instagram.
