Summary: It's difficult to look at the San Diego Padres and think "now there's an exciting baseball team!", but it's a lot easier to look at the FOX-TV show Pitch and think "now there's an exciting TV show about baseball!". We used that reasoning this week to close out the NL West preview as writer Jason Holtham of the aforementioned FOX-TV show Pitch joins us to discuss the fictional Padres, a far more entertaining subject. If you haven't watched Pitch yet, the entire first season (just 10 episodes!) is available to stream on Hulu. It's fun and interesting and has for a backdrop a recognizable world of Major League Baseball. They even managed to characterize the fictional Giants in ways that are familiar. That said, listen to Jason's story about when the TV show shot at AT&T Park... We also talk to Adam Peterson of Purple Row about those Colorado Rockies. It turns out, while the Giants have been focusing their attention on the Dodgers, the Rockies have been stockpiling pitchers. Will this obnoxious team annoy the Giants even more this season?
